Thank you so much for your help and for providing the regfix. I got the issue today after the latest Windows 10 update, and with Outlook 2013 desktop. Nothing ( password, authentication code stc. ) seemed to work until this. After appliying the reg fix you start up Outlook then it will ask your password and requires the two factor authentication, then you are good to go, it can now connect to the servers.
Still 2023 isen't working now. since yesterday he ask me permanent for the password, but only for the outlook account, all other are finde.. you can help me? :)
what I wanna know is why hotmail kicks me out and makes log in the next day even after I have already saved my inbox page as a favorite. The whole point of a favorite is to just click on next time and over pass the log in process. I do it on all my other sites and no problem yet Hotmail thinks they can keep harrassing me day after day. This never happened on my old email and this new one I just started this week is causing me some real fatigue. I wouldn't mind a phone number where I can speak to a real person and try to get through the anguish this is causing me.
I do not know what the original values were before their suggested changes. You will have to analyze the registry of a machine you did not apply this to and see what is in the same line items. Otherwise a backup of your registry before the changes would be the only way to restore it.
When I save it, it doesn't show the parentheses with the star dot star parentheses it only shows All Files. After I save it, the reg part is not there? So, not sure if it's safe to use? It still looks like a save reg file like yours but is it?
@@joshymcdaniel9233I didn't end up using the Reg edit fix. I just kept going to the all programs' folder in Control Panel, then clicked on the Program and Features and chose the Change option, then fixed it. Not uninstall, just change to fix it. I also make sure updates are installed. But not sure what fixed the issue, but it seems fine for the moment. But it's Microsoft, so who knows when issues rear their ugly heads again? Anyway, I'm weary of changing too many things in the reg editor. For me, it's a last resort.
That's all I've got. Perhaps you can identify the update that's causing the problem, restore to the previous day do some research on how to prevent a specific update number from entering
@@servermatter4465 You're right. there was a series of updates that happened, I thought they didn't finalize as I didn't reboot and the pc kept asking for it. It's a whole list and I can't copy paste it.... I sent an email to the contact email on your website including the screen shots of the list of updates windows forced on me. If you don't see a solution, it's fine, I'll resort to upgrading my office, not that I need any of the new features.
Sorry to hear that. It's likely this solution does not apply to all cases. Wish I had a list of possible solutions but this one is the needle in a haystack for many.

Glad to hear it helped you !
There are a lot of useless fixed for this on CZcams. This is one really works. Thanks.
Very happy to hear it!
I thought this was working on my Outlook 2016. But today the dreaded sign in box came back again. Darn.
@@citris1 It's fixed it for many but clearly not an everyone fix. Perhaps newer Microsoft updates are thwarting it another way.
Hours of combing through the internet! Thank you soooooo much, this was the fix!

I cannot help you. This video is all I have and I'm too busy on my end to support anyone directly, I'm sorry.
Same not working after that file too
This did work at first. The issue started up again sometime later with these Registry additions still present :/
That’s technology for you. A moving target with more rejection always around the next corner
Worked on the first of 4 that I have to do. Thank you!

Hi . You can update your windows update. and please find this option "Receive updates for other Microsoft products." and tick it .
This didn't fix my issue, can I undo it?

Just Google “windows update breaks ldap” and you’ll find lots of popcorn trails to follow to identify which update. ChatGPT might have something too
followed through carefully - it didnt work
