This is Alex's first time watching Dragon ball Z. Bryan has the seen show and will be joining the journey with Alex to get his reaction!
Dragon Ball Z is about a man named Goku that lives on earth and finds out he came from a different planet and doesn't know how powerful he is until villains from other planets come along.

This movie is a weird one when it comes to the timeline…
Dende is the guardian, so that would mean it takes place after Goku and Gohan came out of the hyberbolic time chamber. But we clearly see Goku and Gohan in the state before the training; Gohan is younger with longer hair and doesn’t have Super Saiyan, Goku and Vegeta are clearly just the original super saiyans so no Super Vegeta, ”stay in super saiyan state” from Goku, or anything. Dende is the guardian so Piccolo must have fused with Kami already, but he would have been the strongest here if that was the case. And on top of that, the movie clearly emphasised Goku and Vegeta’s SSJ strength while Piccolo was in the sidelines, which implies Piccolo was also in his pre fusion state somehow.
In other words, the movie takes place most likely in the 3 year time skip before the androids appear, but Dende is the guardian already for whatever reason and Kami has just dissappeared lmao
True if dende wasn't the guardian of earth you could have put this in a timeline where cell never existed and the androids were defeated

Funfact: This movie came out before Dende became Guardian in the anime & manga.
I don't know how Toei knew that Dende would later become Guardian. Maybe Toriyama told them that it would happen eventually.

The movies are not in the canon timeline, they dont make any sense and are not really supposed to.

Bruh the only characters writer's do dirty are Roshi , Yamcha in DBZ and Tien in DBS. Krillin gets love from the creators for being MC best friend character

It causes spoilers for the rest of the Cell games arc so I recommend finishing the Cell games arc before seeing that movie, just to let you know the Cell games arc ends at 194 so watch until 194 before seeing Bojack Enbound.

@@theABTV_ hey I got a suggestion please don't watch Fusion reborn movie until in the "Buu saga" Vegito appears... Because the in fusion reborn, they introduce Gogeta. I dont want Alex to get spoiled by Goku and Vegeta's Fusion Gogeta instead of vegito first. The movie event took place before the events of evil buu. But please dont watch until vegito shows up. Vegito fusion will be a heck of surprise if someone doesn't know how goku and vegeta might look and behave if they fuse. And the vegito is awesome than Gogeta in terms of characteristics behavior

Don't take these movies to seriously, they are not apart of the official timeline of events in dragonball, and never will they be or can they be. Everyone thinks movie 5 can be placed in the canon timeline but it is just as flawed as every other movie. For one Icarus is in movie 5, which means it is tied to the events of movie 3 and 4, where tien, chiaotzu, and piccilo are still alive even though nappa killed them. that means the goku in movie 5 killed frieza in a completely different way then on namek. Also Vegeta is not present in movie 5 which during that timing of creation he was still dead on namek from friezas final form, but he is alive in movie 6, and clearly movie 5 is tied to movie 3 and 4, which means goku beat vegeta a different way in this alternate universe where vegeta still lived, but goku did not go to namek as soon as in the canon series because of movie events 3 and 4. Dende being guardian here is also way to soon and unorthodox, which means piccolo fused with kami even sooner, and trunks probably does not exist at all, which places movie 7 and onward into a completely different universe as well. I doubt the androids even exist in the movie 6 universe. Even the power scaling is wrong, piccolo should be the strongest but Goku and Vegeta are stronger than him as mere ssj's, in movie 5 it seems Goku learned ssj for the first time or never mastered it as he did against ssj trunks needing anger to still fuel the transformation, but it gets crazier. In that movie cooler states base goku was capable of killing frieza, which either means frieza is weaker in that timelime or Goku is 100% frieza level in base form, which means ssj goku and Final form cooler are 40x-50x stronger than 100% frieza, which could explain why ssj goku and ssj vegeta in movie 6 are stronger than piccilo fused with kami. movie 7 gets back closer to canon powerlevels, but movies 3-6 are their own little world with their own little world, the power scaling cannot be compared to the canon timeline at all.
I agree with you in the main points... Piccolo is Kamicollo in movie 7. Goku reverse to is base form after Piccolo shows up
Ah and dont forget about the biggest Toei hax of all time: base Goku movie 5 being stated by Cooler to be stronger than 100 % Final form Frieza and most likely at is Namek SSJ level
@@ScoccoSLB I saw one guy argue for base goku in movie 6 being stronger than ssj goku in movie 5 while already being stronger than 100% frieza in base form as well lol. That one got me tripping. Movie 8 has some crazy implification too, like base goku didnt go ssj against ssj broly at all, even though vegeta did, granted broly was restricted against goku and not vegeta, but goku didnt go ssj until broly went lssj, now thats fricken crazy. And he still tried to evade lssj broly in base too.
