I really think Robbie is a seriously underrated character and a good way to make a replacement/legacy character. Really hope they do more with him in the comics cause he's one of the few new characters I like.

Russ Tseu he Kinda is, they changed how the ghost rider powers work. Or at least how their trasfered. It seems that the ghost riders in the MCU transfer the power to the next one in line in a kind of deal with the devil sorta situation. The spirit grants the the rider some kind of wish or favour in return for the use of their body and the punishment of evil.. And this is what happen with Robbie and Gabe in the MCU they wher in a bad car crash and ghost rider finds them, and makes the before mentioned deal with Robbie as he's dieing. Robbie becomes ghost rider and he and gab live, though it seems like the spirit of vengeance is a bit of a dick as while it saved grabs life it left him crippled. And while it's never stated out loud who the ghost rider was before Robbie he looked a lot like the traditional Jonny blaze ghost rider, very similar to the nick cage movies. So in a round about way Jonny was ghost rider.

I hope we see more of Johnny Blaze on Agents of SHIELD later, or perhaps have him show up in a potential Ghost Rider Netflix series or in a new movie. I would love to see Danny Ketch be used at some point, too. Maybe even Alejandra. If we get a Ghost Rider Netflix series, I bet there would be the potential to see these characters more!
in all honesty this is my favorite ghost Rider. I can connect with him on way more levels than any of the past ones. I love the new look and art I can see how they were going for the graffiti day of the dead style. I really dislike the people who only reason for hating the series is he drives a car or is Latino. This is one way marvel put a new person in a role without stomping on all the past traditions or totally ret coning the stories.

Wow, I had no idea the guy in the car wasn't Johnny Blaze. I assumed he just drove a car now. So the Ghost Rider in Agents of Shield is Robbie Reyes, not Johnny Blaze, and he's possessed by the spirit of a serial killer, not the spirit of Vengeance. I guess that explains why the Ghost Rider in the tv show was so damn violent, but not why he didn't kill Daisy. If the Ghost Rider in the show is this guy, then he shouldn't care about killing innocent people I only know Ghost Rider from the 2 movies, so I have to ask. In the comics, is Johnny Blaze's Spirit of Vengeance really the Angel of Justice, corrupted by hell? or was that just a plot twist for the shitty 2nd movie? All of the riders can see the good and evil in people. Since this new rider made the deal to kill only bad guys then he can't hurt quake. In agents of shield he looked into quakes soul and found that she has good in her so he couldn't harm her. He most likely wanted to buy because of the deal he can't.
Right now it's kinda confusing in AoS. Robbie talked already about having the devil inside him and Quake also asked him if he sold his soul to him. So It kinda seems they made his spirit a spirit of vengeance. But in the promo his uncle was mentioned. Just that you know Robbie's spirit is his dead sadistic uncle.
In Agents of SHIELD Robbie is possessed by an actual Spirit of Vengeance because his Uncle is alive at the start. He was the Ghost Rider before Eli was dead. Even in the comics Eli is a spirit who was killed by scum and demanding vengeance.

The cinematic universe is seperate from the comics, so there's no blue flame ghost rider.

Surprisingly, I actually like this new story arc. Usually I find the new ones kind of annoying and hate how PC they are but this is fairly good.

Satanism, or at least the most popular form, is an atheistic religion that uses the Devil as a metaphor, such as the Satanic Temple and the Church of Satan. They don't actually believe in Satan. There is, however, a branch of Satanists who do believe. ^-^
