I love his style, i've always liked the rustic look. When I was a teen I remember I grey primed my bmx bike and just liked it like that. My buds were always like when are you gonna paint that bike lol I don't follow people.

A new Harley costs more than what most people make in 1 or 2 years. Depression time was better than today.
Interesting, but i would never give that much for an old bike.
If you want genuine back in the day originality not to mention history you gotta pay for it Bro.
I'm not sure one way or another one that it would have to be something where I got a pretty good deal and something that also if I decided lighter I wanted to sell it I could make a couple thousand or so
In the real world, it's more likely than not that this would never happen this way. The buyer is going to try to beat things down and get it for a song. The reality is that most people want the deal more than the want the car/bike. Had a guy with 80 muscle cars lose a deal over $1K on a car selling for $15K that has an average of over $40K. It was complete and running, but he wanted to break it all down and go thru everything and said "it's just a core, man, it's just a core" it was a 100% complete running car. Real world is all about getting something over on someone else more than loving the value of the thing you're getting.

They saw you coming
It's near impossible to buy anything from Antique Archeology. An equine corporation group were building an equine park and wanted to buy a large number of classic/vintage articles for the park. They had a $1 million budget, but Antique Archeology weren't even interested in meeting with any of the board of directors. The Equine corporation went elsewhere and spent near $900,000 to get what they wanted. Danielle, Mike, and Frank were not very "customer friendly." In fact, Danielle and Mike were rude and seemed to care less. Frank was somewhat interested in assisting but Mike ended that. These people are not all "warm and fuzzy" like on the American Pickers show at all.
Bobbys shop is right by Hollywood hot rods.
This would have been a good show if it wasn't so heavily scripted. The final straw for me was when they incorporated a subway sandwich commercial in the scripted plot one time when they where thinking about what they wanted for lunch. The whole episode was them talking about lunch and how bugers and fries just don't work anymore. The sad thing was they did the exact same lame commercial integration on Pawn Stars. I stopped watching that fake show too.

The way this episode ends, I think they end up trading the bike
for something that he has restored but left the rust or patina!
Mike ends up with the gorgeous truck outside, but has to pay a bit more cash, plus his Indian.
They traded it for that truck sitting right outside of the garage.

I just dont get the whole "patina" thing. That is a rare and wonderful machine. It deserves to be brought back to its former glory. The engine has been rebuilt so its not original anymore, I think it should be restored to factory original.I guess thats why it isnt my bike then. Each to his own.

Just watched a re-run episode of the time they took a 35 Indian to Sturgis to sell when they over-paid for it to begin with...then when then Mike and Frank rode their bikes to Sturgis , they ride the ugliest Bikes i have ever seen in my life there..after hearing Mike talk about all these nice bikes he owns ...yeah right
Can't stand these guys or their show anymore..it used to be cool but after i watch how they step on and throw other peoples property around during the picks i havn't any respect for them,, I bet if you went into their store and did that they wouldn't be very friendly..sick of hearing..I gave 5 dollars for it and i will ask 150
