    The front bumper looks huge. Like a train

    Killer build. Those Tahoes are reliable and great looking and these mods just solidified most the weak links. Next would be a upgraded trans and it’s bullet proof.

      100% agree! Great platform to start with.

      11B_RTO Yes absolutely. 2010 will have the AFM engine that’s not nearly as reliable as the other. You could do a 3” Level/lift, some 35” tires a good tune on the engine and trans and be a decent weekend wheeler.
      I would also remove the running boards if it has them and do a gear swap and better locking unit in the rear when you would be able to do it but it wouldn’t be needed per say. The Tahoe in this Video of it had a 4l80 trans would be near bulletproof.

    Recently got my hands on a very good condition yukon xl denali 05 for free and I was looking to turn it into a road and offroad beast. This video has given me many ideas thank you!

    That bumper will hurt approach. Seems a little over built and heavy but not mine. Like it though!

    Curious, why not repurpose the torsion frame mounts for the rad arms?

    How did y’all clear the 38s in the back? Trim? Did y’all shift the axle back any? I know there isn’t much trim space where the rear doors are. Thanks! Sick build! Trying to 1 ton swap my 04 Tahoe.

    What is the alternative differential that I installed so that I do not have to change the differential to the other side?

    Looks nice and subtle! How did you match the bolt patterns front and rear?

    • @rockhoundoffroad9258
      @rockhoundoffroad9258  Před rokem +1

      With this build we re-drilled the front rotors and unit bearings to match the rear 14 bolt. On other builds we will run an adapter on the rear 14 bolt which will change the lug pattern but also match the width of the front a bit better as well.

    any flex pictures of this rig? I'm considering swapping to rear leafs with my SAS suburban.I have two sets of chevy 63s one from a 2500 and one from a 1500. I am swapping in a 14 bolt semi floater at the moment so that would be the perfect time to do the spring swap.

    • @rockhoundoffroad9258
      @rockhoundoffroad9258  Před rokem +1

      Yes we do have some flex pictures of the rig. Head over to our Instagram and check out our highlights on the Tahoe and you will see a few pictures of this one flexes out.
      I would suggest the 2500 springs. They will hold up better especially under another Tahoe.

    What’s something like this cost just for the front end ?

  • @seanhendrickson1999

    Nice build how come y’all didn’t do coil overs on the rear ?

    • @rockhoundoffroad9258
      @rockhoundoffroad9258  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It just was not in the budget for the customer. The rear 63's works very well though and are dependable and easy to maintain compared to coilovers.

      @@rockhoundoffroad9258 It will definitely haul a lot better with the leafspring set up

  • @erenbecomesdovecrying6016
    @erenbecomesdovecrying6016 Před 3 měsíci

    That's a pretty useless front bumper. Just kills the mpg and makes it a liability on the road.
