Mob Psycho Season 3 Episode 8 Review I have no words Tiktok: www.tiktok.com/@skeaterhead?_... Instagram: skeateryt?igshi... Music used: Memories of Tokyo-To - Ba-ba-Ba
I watched this episode at 5 in the morning after pulling an all nighter while completely fucking sleep deprived. The sudden change in animation from episode 7 to episode 8 made me feel like I was tripping or something which happened since I really wanted to sleep at that point. And then the fucking aliens arrived... I was really weirded out since it was pretty god damn unnatural which made me check whether am I still watching mob psycho or not, and I felt a ton of emotions such as fear, confusion, curiosity etc. Once the episode ended, I stared at my hand for a couple of minutes contemplating reality and asking myself whether am I dreaming or not and I even thought that I might be in a simulation. I was so confused and desperate that I hit myself right in the face at full force which immediately made bleed from my nose and suprisingly it didn't really hurt since my pain was overshadowed by both my extreme emotions and by how tired I was at the time. After about half an hour of calming myself down and ensuring myself that everything is alright I layed down on my bed and fell asleep. TL;DR this episode gave me a mental breakdown
It was 4AM for me and-... Shit... I was watching the entire season in a run and- Oh god-... I was almost crying after that amazing Dimple episode when this one came next... I swear to God that I was extremely confused by those 3 whole minutes, my sleep-deprived brain couldn't even process a single thing
@@iammaxis You made me think for a second that you just summarised my comment. Glad I'm not the only one who had this experience since it's nice to look back on
I watched this episode at 4 am on a bus with a guy next to me spying on what I was watching, when a fucking alien appeared I just closed the episode out of embarrassment.
3 min?!? It was only 3 min? BRO while watching that I was so confused it felt like an entire episode lmao Normally, in anime when they do the "oh maybe we're forgetting something" trope, and then just show what (who) they've forgotten, then it just ends there, it's for comedy and that's cool. But didn't expect they'd continue and actually make it an entire thing taking it seariously, making it into a whole fever dream brought to reality and I love the show for that 😭
This is literally why mob is one of my favorite shows ☠️ I've seen so many anime I usually can predict where the stories headed but with mob that literally NEVER happens
I was about to go to the next episode thinking it was about to end until they said they forgot him and this madness happened for 3 minutes. Mob psycho has always shown things I wouldn't expect in an anime but I was NOT expecting a middle schooler to get kidnapped by aliens lmao. I miss this anime so much already 😭
If I remember correctly, the whole bit was not cannon to the manga (inazawa being forgotten is but not the scenes where he arrives in their home planet). Correct me if Im wrong
The last 3 minutes felt like a fucking FEVER DREAM. My jaw was also dropped and flabbergasted is absolutely the right word to describe how everyone had to have felt at the end 😭😭 LIKE WHAT??? Shit went from breathtakingly beautiful to absolutely batshit balls of the walls insane SO fast. I swear this episode is not talked about enough
I know! I kept thinking what did Reigen have to say to lie out of that one, losing a kid. I think what saved him was Inukawa had texted his family that he would be spending the night at a friend's house and I don't know how long Japanese winter break is but I'd assume its atleast 2 weeks.
It was so cute at first and I loved this episode but then he basically got assaulted by all the alien girlies and it was pretty disturbing tbh??? Like why😭
Bruh, I was wondering why no one was talking about it too! It's so crazy, honestly it's the first time Mob Psycho actually made me confused and scared, which is saying a lot since the anime is already pretty wild at times
Pretty sure the aliens are a parody of the cute anime girls with the big eyes. They stand out because most mob psycho characters has the saitama dot eyes. Except for tsubomi, she's an alien confirmed. If people think they're ugly, just look back at your old typical anime girls and remove their hair, lol.
@@Skeater Tsubomi’s eyes look like that because it’s a representation of the idealized way mob sees her When shown from the perspective of the other characters she has normal “Saitama-sequel” eyes like everyone else Pretty sure her character design permanently and subtly makes that shift after mobs confession(because they’re beginning to find some common ground, so he starts seeing her more like a person)
I think all of us mob psycho 100 fans just decided not to talk about it so we could forget about it- because man, that entire scene was crazy, and if I think about it for too long my brain starts to hurt
1:48 actually the aliens didnt know it was against his will since before the rest left he was the only one that said he could 'stay the night' but then eveyone else left and he realized he shouldn't have said that
I think it wasso out of nowhere everybody's brain was forced to reboot and pretend we didn't see it. The mere design was hilarious enough. Mob Psycho 100 designs shine for being simplistic and in some way "ugly" except being Tsubomi and making abigger point on she being the prettiest girl in school. For the aliens I think it was a parody to anime girls in general, it's regular "anime eyes" but on Mob Psycho they look so uncanny it's hilarious. I was so confursed I missed it was 10 days, I tought it was 10 years, in those 10 years he protected the aliens, become king and procreated with them, then once he helped them and learned to communicate with them they time traveled 10 years back to Earth and left him like "the next day" I was so confused I didn't read the subs
One of the funniest parts of the whole anime was Inukawa's abduction for me, and my jaw dropped too bc of how much detail they actually dared to show... lmao this is so unholy but at the same I can't see how I can even be mad at it. I bet some real kids' fantasies get much weirder than this.
Not gonna lie-the implied sex part was uncalled for. This is a 14 year old child! I feel like we gotta look out for little boys the same way we do little girls (yes I know this is just an anime and not real life). The implication of that scene was pretty inappropriate and very unlike the Mob Psycho I know, which has never sexualized any of its child characters.
@@Skeater Age of consent is in no place in japan 13 in that way. It's only 13 for 13 and 14 year olds to have sex with another without facing consequences. The age of consent in the sense you mean (like completely free regarding the age of the partner) is also normally 16 or 18 depending on where you are in Japan
Interestingly I feel like the main idea was that meeting the aliens wasn't as important as just cherishing youth and experiencing things with your friends. But then the director decided that the weirdo aliens don't get enough attention and he decided to go wild on this episode
The fact there's a callback to it in the final episode whas what really threw me off. It was so out of left field I almost didn't believe they would ever acknowledge it again
lil note i wana add is that durring the time the gang and the aliens were hanging out and giving gifts, Inukawa pointed himself then points at the aliens which may have made them misunderstood that he was going home with them. Also in the manga the whole alien sequence was just supposed to be a joke but idk man BONES made it extra weird.
all i gotta say is that me and my best friend watching this while severely faded was insane. we were dead silent the whole time, after a few seconds when the episode ended, we just looked at each other and simultaneously said "What the fuck was that?" LMAO and then proceeded to discuss the scene where he was assaulted by all the aliens, I just could not believe what i was watching tbh
Man, I think the author (One) did a perfect job with this episode. One of the biggest themes of this season is about maturing, ending the childhood and seeing what comes next, and this episode focuses a lot on this, with Reigen as the adult example: bored, not participating in the adventure, not even freaking out when he gets abducted by some aliens; but supportive with the kids as they do create new memories of their childhood they will always remember. And One knows that we, as espectators, are Reigen. At the begining of this madness i started to freak out, thinking that it was totally out of context in the world of Mob (full of pshychic powers and spirits, btw) and disliking it, but the animation was soooo god, and the story was so amazing that soon i changed my mind and found myself enjoying that shit as a kid. And i totally think that was the purpose of this crazy ass sidestory, One wants us to be again a child that gets excited with crazy adventures and he wants us to stop thinking as boring adults, at least for 3 min. I really love Mob Psycho💚
I was like "😕" the entire alien thing until he was in the bed with the kisses... I was HOPING that it wasn't what I was expecting, but then it showed the alien with the kid in the bed cuddling so yeah LMAO
This episode was such an acid trip, especially all the alien stuff at the end. I found it interesting that the art and animation were notably different. Sometimes omitting entire faces and other details, but also having scenes that captured high levels of fluidity and nuance.
It was exactly this crazy to me, like bro, nothing in this show ever foreshadowed the existence of aliens, let alone suddenly ending up on an alien spacecraft, having dinner together with pink wholesome aliens lmao?? And yeah, then the whole thing happened with the guy essentially getting inducted, and it was literally the most fever dream feeling I've ever witnessed watching anything. My jaw was dropped the entire time and it took me some minutes after the episode ended to get back to reality LOL. It was a great episode, but I still can't get over the fact that we suddenly encountered actual aliens in this anime lmao.
i was watching the show with my brother because he forgot to charge his phone, and we both were like "WHAT" the entire time, i could barely believe it was mob psycho
It was some amazingly wholesome shit to start and the end could only be described as "a collaborative writing effort between the rick and morty writers, the writers for adventure time, and a shit ton of psychoactive drugs
Bro thank YOU I was thinking about this again today and I aint heard a single SOUL bring this shit up MY MAN WAS KIDNAPPED BY ALIENS, HAD AN ALIEN ORGY, BECAME THE APEX PREDATOR, SLEPT WITH THE PRINCESS BERSERK STYLE AND CAME BACK, NO ONE BATTED AN EYE AND ITS CANON???? MY MAN HAD THE GOOGLY EYES AFTER EPISODE AYo
At first this alien stuff was my least favorite part of all of mob psycho. I thought it was way too weird and disturbing... but then I watched it again after the show was over and laughed my ass off. 10/10 arc.
I loved this episode to death. Watching it feels like a fever dream from start to finish. The animation is super cool looking, the visuals in the final sequence are jaw dropping, and the whole feel of it is just so fucking amazing. Definitely one of my favorite episodes in any show ever.
the funniest shit is Inukawa was slowly but surely becoming an alien himself. I was expecting that he will be alien when the 3 mins fever dream started. He started with eating their food, getting railed, then he slain that small space monster and also railed the queen, we never really see his eyes anymore, and he start wearing their clothes, and He no longer think that living in that planet as something disturbing and he ditched his game console, We have a time skip (you can tell how far the time skip because he went from using a random piece of charcoal as pen, and NOW WE HAVE FREAKING FEATHER PEN), and it changes from him sharing his story to narrator who narrates the rest of his stay in the space that one day his wife (AKA. The queen) found his journal, and he just start to understand them and it ended with him able to communicate with them that he wanted to go back to earth (where we finally see his eyes), he went back to normal after he returned to earth and we can see his normal eyes again. It is not until the end of the series where we see that he still shifts from human to alien and still can communicate with them. It is the small detail in the directing that made the fever dream feels like fever dream. Also, his abduction is literally consentual because by the end of the gang's stay in the space ship, he made hand gestures, "we are basically friends now" by pointing him and then pointing the alien, and the alien mistook it as "make me into your kind," or "i'm coming with you." which is super funny and lowkey tragic
i binged this last season just the other day i didn’t even have the chance to comprehend this wild section but i do remember my mouth being open the entire time and throughout the opening of the next episode
This episode was surreal especially Inukawa's part (It reminded me of a story of Satyajit Roy written in my mother tongue named "Byomjatrir Diary" (An Astronaut's Diary) it's kinda similar). The BGMs were really good.. can't describe the feeling I got all together
OH MY GOSH I ABSOLUTELY DID NKT KNOW OR REMEMBER THAT INUKAWA HAD A WHAT WITH THE GOOGLY ANIME EYE ALIENS??? Yes, I was profoundly weirded out by the chapters too when I read them, but I let it slide or completely fly over my head by accepting it as the simple weirdness ONE tends to have with his stories, lololol. I also really liked that Mount Mud Boat arc special because it revealed a lot of the other characters depths and I got to learn heartwarming stuff about each of them.
I absolutely loved this episode. I was on edge the whole time, thinking there was gonna be a crazy alien battle. But instead, my worries melted when they had a genuinely nice time. Then it had this absolutely beautiful ending. Just a reminder that Mob Psycho 100 truly is a special show. I’ll always remember this episode.
I loved the episode but I'm biased (Tome fan lol). I love the wholesome aspect of it and Tome's character arc. The final 3 minutes are wild/weird, sweep the abduction under the rug 💀
Its actually amazing, hats off to u , ur story is incredible, personally i wouldn't be able to recover from the fact that my dad was a drug maker and a mafia boss and a killer , but here u still are after few yrs , hats off to u flynn , i am waiting to see how u grow as a youtuber , goodluck 😊
I was literally having ptsd after I watched this episode. Like not only the vibes and tones of the show drastically changed in those 3 minutes, but the music, animation and literally… everything was surreal. It was like the creator was writing Mob Psycho but took LSD and decided to write an episode, but went into a full peak at the last 3 minutes of the show while high and went with it It’s still good though.
Idk why people hate this episode so much do people not understand the point of mob? People don’t understand its a shonen with superpowers and they occasionally battle once in a while, not a battle shonen
Having watched Space Dandy (animated by this same studio) before this episode the crazy and beautiful art plus the insanity felt a little less out of nowhere, but yeah it was still extremely and completely shocking. Just absolutely mind boggling and yeah no one was talking about it! Glad someone said something haha
It was pretty proper for a show were broccoli are the closest thing to a creator god and the MCs boss prove, with just two sentences, without any trace of doubt, that 50% of all shounen heros and 99% of all shounen antagonists are just immature and delicate children sulking hard. l love this chapter, BTW.
One of the best eps ever, by a great director, it's the same person who directed the mogami arc back in season 2, no one does character animation like he does
That whole section with Inukawa and the aliens had me nervous lmao. I thought something terrible was going to happen with the way the music menacingly got louder as time went on. Also, was he turning into one of the aliens, or was that kawaii face just how they communicate??? Or was it both? I still have no fucking idea.
no bc this episode was so beautiful, the animation was so cinematic and then out of nowhere we got that abduction scene. i was GOBSMACKED BC WTF???? it was pretty disturbing as well imo and they played it out as if those trippy 3 mins didn’t happen at all bc inukawa came back as if nothing happened
this episode has a whole ton of plot twist within plot twists. It's nothing crazy since its anime and there's no limits to how crazy one can go but damn this was nuts. Bro speedrunned being king in a week like giorno did to become a gangster boss
BRO….. Finally someone talked about how much this episode felt like a freaking fever dream. I asked so many people what they thought of it and they ALL said “It was a great episode I really loved it!” like it was a normal episode out of the show. I really thought I was weird because I thought this episode seemed so obscure.
was it 10 days? Maybe I interpreted the wrong way, but it felt like as if Inukawa had a life over the planet, became king of the race and his whole life experience was only an "evening" :D
@@Skeater could be the "charm" of the artstyle where he looked manly... In the end it was still a wtf episode with the alien extraterastrial school club doing the same thing they did usually...
I really loved the way the aliens looked. They are like from another planet where there are nOrMaL anime eyes, different from the shit we were forced to love after watching Mob Psycho for 3 seasons. Like, at the first season's first episode you think that the grafics are complete mess, then you still watch it for some reason, get used to it, and then you think that normal huge anime girlish eyes are of some aliens. I like the idea that the episode could be done with such a purpose.

I loved this episode to death. Watching it feels like a fever dream from start to finish. The animation is super cool looking, the visuals in the final sequence are jaw dropping, and the whole feel of it is just so fucking amazing. Definitely one of my favorite episodes in any show ever.
That episode made me question if I was actually awake, conscious, and watching Mob Psycho.
the funniest shit is Inukawa was slowly but surely becoming an alien himself.
Everyone doesn't really talk about it because we know what we know, it has been said and there's nothing more that needs to be addressed.
The final 3 minutes are wild/weird, sweep the abduction under the rug 💀
tysm for bringing this up omg i got so weirded out why did they just decided to drop this and just never talk abt it 😭
Fr😭😭 happy other people agree with me on this
Its actually amazing, hats off to u , ur story is incredible, personally i wouldn't be able to recover from the fact that my dad was a drug maker and a mafia boss and a killer , but here u still are after few yrs , hats off to u flynn , i am waiting to see how u grow as a youtuber , goodluck 😊
Last couple of minutes had major Space Dandy vibes
I was literally having ptsd after I watched this episode. Like not only the vibes and tones of the show drastically changed in those 3 minutes, but the music, animation and literally… everything was surreal. It was like the creator was writing Mob Psycho but took LSD and decided to write an episode, but went into a full peak at the last 3 minutes of the show while high and went with it
It’s still good though.
3:37, not just an adult party, but also the fact that they had to drug him for it
Yea the whole situation was wild 💀
Idk why people hate this episode so much do people not understand the point of mob? People don’t understand its a shonen with superpowers and they occasionally battle once in a while, not a battle shonen
Exactly lots of people mad when to me this episode was mob done to perfection
@@Skeater i hear people say this is the worst episode of mob even including season 1 😭
Yea it was quite the spectacle 😂😂
It was pretty proper for a show were broccoli are the closest thing to a creator god and the MCs boss prove, with just two sentences, without any trace of doubt, that 50% of all shounen heros and 99% of all shounen antagonists are just immature and delicate children sulking hard.
l love this chapter, BTW.
I'm glad someone finally said it!!!!
It felt like a fever dream
I JUST finished this episode and CZcams is already recommend this to me?! I’m totally ring spied on
My fault had to boost my algorithm 🙏😂😂
This is getting pushed in the algorithm man congratulations 🔥
🙏 algorithm did its job for once
That pic of cell too funny bro 😭
Ong☠️
i gotta sub
One of the best eps ever, by a great director, it's the same person who directed the mogami arc back in season 2, no one does character animation like he does
That whole section with Inukawa and the aliens had me nervous lmao. I thought something terrible was going to happen with the way the music menacingly got louder as time went on. Also, was he turning into one of the aliens, or was that kawaii face just how they communicate??? Or was it both? I still have no fucking idea.
Bro got assimilated 😂😂
This episode was wholesomely chaotic I loved it😂
I agree about that animation in that ep. Feels so different that makes me love the series more.
Bro got that interstellar rizz
no bc this episode was so beautiful, the animation was so cinematic and then out of nowhere we got that abduction scene. i was GOBSMACKED BC WTF???? it was pretty disturbing as well imo and they played it out as if those trippy 3 mins didn’t happen at all bc inukawa came back as if nothing happened
It was so random that my brain just ignored it
telepath dude was foreshadowed at season 1 episode 2
Noticed this when rewatching the show!
Bro fr this episode was so different it had me goofed
this episode has a whole ton of plot twist within plot twists. It's nothing crazy since its anime and there's no limits to how crazy one can go but damn this was nuts. Bro speedrunned being king in a week like giorno did to become a gangster boss
The ending sequence is funny I just wish they didn’t put that whole sa thing with the aliens :/ that was pretty messed up ngl
Someone finally talking about this masterclass of an episode
Thank you so much for addressing this bruh, like why did we just go over this suddenly?
Bro I have no clue 😭 so random
one really decided to a little trolling
That episode had us confused 😅
That last bit was like it was straight from a Space Dandy episode
I thought this same thing 😂😂
Yeah man same, I was like wtf did I just watch!?
the way u explained all this was so funny
😂😂😂 thanks man
i forgot about this and i would like to re-forget about it
😂😂😂 sorry I had to dig up old trauma
FINALLY SOMEONE TALKING ABOUT THIS
We do not talk about that
I had this same reaction LOL. My jaw just dropped for 3 minutes straight and I had to breathe some fresh air after that
i was expecting the episode afterwards to just be about the alien planet but it ended up just being that 3 minutes 🥲
BRO….. Finally someone talked about how much this episode felt like a freaking fever dream. I asked so many people what they thought of it and they ALL said “It was a great episode I really loved it!” like it was a normal episode out of the show. I really thought I was weird because I thought this episode seemed so obscure.
😭😭😭 nah man this episode was actually INSANE, also why I made a video about it cuz no one even talked about it
Good video bro
Preciate u🫶
i literally was going insane after seeing that episode, bro what was happening why is this whaaat whetjet
was it 10 days?
Maybe I interpreted the wrong way, but it felt like as if Inukawa had a life over the planet, became king of the race and his whole life experience was only an "evening" :D
It was 10 days yeah
@@Skeater could be the "charm" of the artstyle where he looked manly...
In the end it was still a wtf episode with the alien extraterastrial school club doing the same thing they did usually...
I read the manga, so I was really excited for this episode. So no, I wasn't surprised.
Yea the episode was pretty weird but good, i can see why u were excited
Bro went through an entire Isekai arc.
I watched this ep with a friend like at 3 in the morning, we had to take a breather before finishing the series
bro i thought that weird alien planet stuff was meant to set up a spin off
Guy's little fuckin' "くるよ" in the final episode was fucking hilarious
Bro man after seeing them scene I only had one question in mind
"Did mf really clapped them alien cheeks?????"
Me and my bro literally changed out profile pictures to hazakawa after that episode. Clearly a prefect episode. Clearly.
