This is model making on another level , it's beyond a model boat , this is a miniature ship , museum class work . And you do this in your spare time . Very well done , just doesn't seem enough . Fantastic and aspiring , congratulations .
That s a fantastic project and build. My hat off to you sir. I wish there were more videos on here like this, get people building. Congratulations on your work.
Almost a shame to paint it, the craftsmanship is incredible and it would be nice to left it visible! My full respect! Thank You for sharing your awesome work!
That's simply awesome ur work and video has up lifted me. How did u manage to paint so accurately when everything was in place? Also I noticed the hull was fibre glass ? Is that painted on?
You are absolutely right. But I used to be a teacher in mechanical engineering, metal is my thing. And very small parts are easier to make in metal, I think.
Absolutley beautiful. I was thinking of building one of these ships, but of a cruise ship or something similar. I have a few questions on how you completed yours: 1) What computer program did you use? 2) What type of metal did you use? Did the shop cut it for you, or did you do it yourself? 3) What did you construct the smaller superstructure components out of? Thank you very much. Again, the model is breathtaking.
Congratulations on the excellent work. Where did you get the plans from the boat? I'm interested in building a boat like this, using your metal technique.
You're parabens very interesting model you did. How was the details, like accessories, as was done cutting the brass? Thank you. I would buy this model.
wow, love it (just like your other vessels) ps. how is the Wiron 6 looking, very intrested in that one too, always loved the Wirons and all the orher vessels from Jaczon.
Ah-Mazing craftsmanship. The details (such as the locks on the water-tight doors) are simply remarkable. I would have guessed a thousand hours- so 800 seems reasonable for such a beautiful scale model. If you've got more photos/videos, I'd love to see them! Out of curiosity, do you do commission work?
Mart - Where did you obtain the computer model used to template the pieces and is the program AutoCAD? If so, do you know where I could find CAD files for this or similar models? Beautiful work!
Answer on fiberglass: my goal is not to work as fast as possible but to work with metal as I was a teacher in this kind of work. It is easyer to make a hull of fiberglass but it is inpossible to make all smaller parts of fiberglass. And I like computing as a preparetion for the laser cutting. So, that's why.
