He can deadpan say no and then after a nap he’ll have a feast waiting. The people we love and that love us always find a way to show it. When he’s not ready for bed and I am, I’ll always fall asleep downstairs with him, and he’ll carry me up to bed asleep haha
I miss my grandma. I used to intern at a company that did the electrical renovations at her house. She invited me to eat every day. Could barely breathe after the mountain full of food. And no leaving before the plate was empty.
Good to know it’s not just my Korean grandma that’s like a tough nonlovey dovey person on the outside but will still do things for us out of love. My grandma doesn’t do hugs, compliments and stuff like that (only compliments she accepts are from her cooking) but she offers us money and food. I love her very much.
Some people would claim my mother is alike but we have utterly 0 asian isnide of us. If this is a rather generatonal thing maybe co-depending with generational traumatas of certain Generations than an actual cultural thing?
My grandmother passed away 2 weeks ago and it's like all the light in the world has disappeared for me. I hope you and your grandma keep getting to share these moments for many, many, many more years.
