    Walk All Over You! I usually play that riff too to try out the ACDC type breakup on a amp. Sounds killer! My MCll KT150 should arrive Tuesday. 🤘

    The gain reminds me of a cross between a Bogner Ecstasy and a VHT/Fryette Pitbull. Outstanding. Great clean tones as well. Very warm, organic amp. What I love about KT88s is they are this perfect medium between EL34 and 6L6. In a way, amps like this say you can have your cake and eat it too...if you can afford it.

      Just out of curiousity, what do you like better about KT-88's as compared to EL-34's? I prefer EL-34's . I love their tone much more. A few years ago, I bought a 20th Anniversary Bogner Shiva Amphead from Sweetwater. I gave it a fair chance for a few days, and still hated it. It sounded like a swarm if bumble bees, when it came to tone. I just couldn't get into it. It was a special order for Sweetwater, that they weren't supposed to take back. I lucked out big time, and they took it back, since I spent close to 40k between amps and guitars in a short period of time. This is why I will only do business with Sweetwater, unless what I want they don't carry, or they can't get. The majority of my amps and guitars were bought from Sweetwater. Take Care Brother.

    Sounds a lot like a hot rodded Marshall and my Mezzabarba MZero amp! Good stuff!

    Sweet demo, thanks Reza. I think there is a rock > heavy rock tone in there for everyone, amazing variation for sculpting of the gain structure. I’d love to hear those chugging riffs through V30 speakers too!

    Damn Reza, I didn't know you had a video out on Wizard Amps. I've heard so much about these amps over the years. Never played through one. Never heard anybody else play through one in front of me. I know that these are good amps, but are they truly worth their very very high price tags? Do you prefer them over a Friedman? Friedmans aren't cheap, but they're worth every penny Dave asks. Thanks for another amazing video, where you cover so many good things.

    I prefer KT120 tubes here. Just more clarity than the 88s.

    Hi Reza !! Wow you get to play all these highly sought after amps ! Just kinda wanna know how could a El34 Wizard MC2 vs the Friedman BE100 ?

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před 6 lety +2

      totally different. Friedman is a smooth(er) sounding modded marshall vibe with a big nod to 80's metal. The Wizard is a BIG sounding ROCK amp. they are too different.

    • @chuajsjs2853
      @chuajsjs2853 Před 6 lety +1

      Thanks reza... so how does this added feature of MC2 with KT88 be rivaling the MTL ? Does the MTL do good plexi tone without getting too sterile ?

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před 6 lety +1

      its not an added feature, its a completely different design. the amp sounds totally different than my old MC2 did. SO MUCH better. If you are thinking about a wizard, this is the one I recommend 100%.

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před 6 lety

      I like this way more than an MTL, the MTL doesnt mean METAL. Its just a different amp. I like this KT-75 way more. Its the best wizard amp.

    Any idea of what these things should sell for on the used Market?

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před 2 lety +1

      $4k-$4.5k

    • @sonnyseabury4051
      @sonnyseabury4051 Před 3 měsíci

      I'd go with Friedman, Brother. Much better price tag, and you won't have to get a second mortgage for your house to buy one. Years ago, some were selling for 5k New. Now, with insane inflation, wouldn't surprise me one bit if they're 6k. The owner of Wizard Amps makes insane profits on his amps.

    I think i heard adam jones say he used these on the new tool record..or using a wizard amp. Not sure which one. Man they sound good dont they.

      Joe Baressi who produced the new album is a long time Wizard user. Im sure they made it on the album.

    • @JInfinity7
      @JInfinity7 Před 4 lety +2

      He probably blended it with the Diezels and an organ amp from the 30s.

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před 6 lety

      Custom one made just for KT-88 tubes. No other tubes will work in this amp!

  • @cragginshred
    @cragginshred Před rokem

    Why does it say KT 75, then KT 88? What is the difference and do they change the tone from the Brittish el34 tones?

    • @RezaMatix
      @RezaMatix Před rokem

      KT-75 is the Model Name of the amp. KT-88, KT-90, KT120 tubes can run in it. I think the EL34 models do sound different, and feel different too. I believe the Output transformers on the KT-75, KT150 amps are also made to certain spec so the KT tubes are used in the most desired voltage ranges. These tubes have alot of headroom and low end control. Its a big breathing dragon of a tone. :)
