A short distance uphill from Namchi, on Samdruptse Hill, stands a massive statue of Guru Padmasambhava, looking over the town and across the hills. The name Samdruptse means "The wish fulfilling hill" in the local Bhutia language. Rising to a height of 45 meters, its golden coat gleams in the sunlight. It was founded in 1997. The statue is visible from numerous locations in Sikkim and the views are breathtaking. After visiting that place I visited Temi Tea Garden. Explore the beauty of South Sikkim in this video.
