- This is the ONLY shotgun to have Discord. So if you are looking for an infinite ammo shotgun, this is the way to go! Super high recommend for PvE. It is very fun, especially once you start stacking it with stuff. Go pick one up from Xur this weekend in #destiny2 !

That is a fav of mine, although I really dig cascade point / envious assassin weapons too, as they auto load the mag when you slay out with the opposite weapon 😄

ive actually been sitting on this exact roll that i farmed for via focusing, so its nice to see xur bringing it for everyone else
ngl though, pugi + discord is 100% the way to go once you get used to the rhythm of discord procs, it makes you feel like doomguy just fusioning and shotgunning things into the dirt
Man, have a Comedian in my vault that also used to have infinite ammo. It has subsistence and unrelenting, which doesn't give ammo, but one of the old charged with light mods did. As long as you got kills while surrounded, it gave ammo back after every kill. It having unrelenting gave good survivability when on a subclass with minimal ways to heal.
I can't use my comedian anymore because that mod was removed, so I'll definitely pick this thing up!

Hey Lego, quick question for you about this Main Ingredient I found in my vault: Red Dot Micro/Projection Fuse/Threat Detector/Tap The Trigger, stability masterwork & targeting mod…since this is first I’ve seen Threat Detector on a Main, does that have some decent synergies with Tap The Trigger? It seems good and I’m about to try it out, just not sure if it’s good or not on paper…

Edit: It seems the only worthwhile 3rd column perk, I'd say, is Pugilist after looking through them (Discord procs similar to Subsistence while it's active while refunding the spent ammo that lands a killing blow).
I would recommend another perk over Subsistence on this shotgun. I have a Pugilist/Discord roll I've really come to like after realizing how Discord works. Definitely an under-rated shotgun and about the only one that's made me really love aggressive frame shotties.
It’s funny because I do agree with you, I’ve been chasing a pugilist for PvE and opening shot for PvP, but out of all the other discord shotguns my subsistence discord roll is a shotgun I keep coming back to for ease of use.

Edit: I went through the list of Discord shotties after I commented this and just saw Sudden Death can get Discord/Destabilizing Rounds. 👀
@@exxy9931 I got that exact roll with both the perks! It's a ton of fun. I've been deep diving all of the weapons with Discord and have a massive video coming on it. VERY excited.

Oh damn that's spicey. I love shotguns in PVE too. This looks like an ammo economy king O_O. I see people be 'meh' on shotguns for PVE but I've seen a LOT of King's Fall totems and other similar encounters where people on "I'll be addclear" can't even down orange bars instantly and I'm like bruh. Shotguns. (or slugs or fusions for that matter).
As much as I love Riptide, I think it chokes out a lot of other guns in the "use on beefy targets close to you" category just because Chill Clip is that good.
Will say this subsistence kind counters discord since it still drains your ammo even though discord is pulling bullets from thin air. Would say to replace subsistence. (Subsistence stops draining your ammo once you get to the 4 bullets you can load into the gun left)

I wound up getting one last night after fishing and rather than junk it I thought it over and was like... "hmmmm Isn't this a quirky little combo. I'm gonna check you out later." Glad to hear my suspicions weren't unfounded. I might just do some shit with this and that fusion to create a loop and generate fuck tons of heavy ammo. Might be fun to use this on a threadling warlock build where you're just unleashing a hord and mowing things down with a shotgun. Double discord is *fuuuuun*
Try it with a Rocket Launcher or HFR Heavy Machine gun that sh-t is straight up hilarious for PvE content.

This is the ultimate roll I’m chasing this season! Haven’t even got the gun to drop at all yet though. It’s in the loot pool for gunsmith, so we could see it drop there too.

@@Legoleflash Actually I just thought of this, the current seasonal sniper can roll Triple Tap/Discord, is that maybe the best ammo generation we have? Headshotting 3 enemies with discord active should in theory literally give you a free bullet

no need for extended/backup mag imo. much better to use assault mag so you can get as many shots out as you can during the 7 second timer
I tried it with both and perfected more ammo. For red bars yeah that’s fine, but in context of a full activity it remained fun and constant ammo with the extra mag size. Otherwise you’re stressing about keeping those 4 shots in.
But yeah, everyone will probably have their own preference! :)

My buddy called me a dufus for buying this. I have the last laugh. With the exotic that buffs solar damage, mods that buff solar damage, and the solar damage buffs in class, this thing can be a monster.
Heck yeah! PLUS, what if they give us solar artifact mods next season with ignite? Can you imagine?!

Keep in mind You can CRAFT the Pulse rifle if you get 5 copies and 5 Harmonizers to do so.

Yeah would have been pretty nice to do that. At least we get those engrams from pretty much anything we do in the game to focus them
Likely due to the drama surrounding crafting. There were so many complaints that Bungie said in the future they'd be add less craftable weapons so maybe at some point we could've crafted these weapons especially since you can focus them with deep engrams but since they're now cutting back on crafting we can't.
You dont need subsistence for this to work. Just discord, as long as you can 1 shot enemies and keep discord up.

Run this with the newly buffed point brace cannon and Monte Carlos but instead of sub/discord it would be pugilist/discord for 20% melee energy on kill.
Conveniently you’re already in melee range anyway to use a shotgun like that when your melee is down so it’s a great synergy.

When I realised that this shotgun wasn’t able to be crafted I resigned myself to never get the god roll, but RNGesus bless me on the first one I ever got.
Corkscrew, accurized, threat detector, discord and range masterwork.
51 range before disaster plan kicks in.
33 handling, plus whatever threat detector gives and quick access sling.
Discord is great especially since I pair this shotty with my Lumina build, but I could see a situation where you have blessing of the sky from Lumina/boots of the assembler, discord, threat detector and disaster plan all active.

I feel like it might be here to stay. It does a lot, and they might nerf the other parts, but the ammo refund is kill dependent so it doesn’t break everything completely. (But it sure feels like I’m cheating sometimes haha)
