Had the same feelings in highschool. Being stuck wtihout moving forward. Then i went on to study a professional pilot program at university. Without the basics I got in this stereotype cycle you are writing about I would not be doing what I love everyday today.. Hold on. Life gets better.

If it makes you feel any better, the people in this video dont necessarily do this every minute of every day of their lives. You need to go out and actually DO what you want to do. Dont just dream it. I practice martial arts three days a week because the rest of the week I need to work. But in those three days, I practice my ass off. I train hard and do some pretty cool shit. Your life is not as boring as you think it is.
Just some perspective.
