Oh my gosh, I love the artic wolves so realistic looking!
Love them! I really hope you guys go into more North America animals in the near feature. White and black tailed deer, American black bears, elk, moose, big-horned sheep, turkeys, things like these which would be fairly simple would add a lot to the game.
Don't forget pumas, coyotes, foxes and Wolverines.

Amazing! I really love these video showcases. We asked for a polar DLC and that's exactly what we got. I'd like to see a North America DLC next, with animals like the Moose, Raccoon, American Black Bear, Mountain Goat, Bighorn Sheep, Roosevelt Elk, Beaver, both White-Tailed Deer and Mule Deer, and the Puma. There's so many iconic North American animals that are commonly found in zoos, yet there's currently only a few in the game.

Light DLC for the first one. We have already wolf in the game and add a new texture it's too simple for me, same with the polar Bear. I'm waiting to see the new items
Polar bears are still diffrent fron other bears.
And the wolves aren't just a new texture they do have a diffrent modle.
But I think the wolves are overrated...
These aren't reskins at all. Both have different models, behaviours, and requirements.

No matter what animal they put out, someone will say they wish it was another one. This is not a reskinned model of the Timber Wolf.
Susan Wilson I do love it! Don’t get me wrong but I just mean that the fox is a completely different animal and the wolves look similar. I know they didn’t just copy and paste and make it white. I’m still excited! Haha

Meh, I'd rather take the arctic fox and have one of the color variations for timber wolf be white. They can live in the snowy region anyway.

@@gustavowendell7937 Yes, I do agree with that. Frontier changes the models a little bit (and this is great) so these technically aren't just "reskins", but it doesn't change the fact that we already have wolves in the game that can be put in an arctic environment. Some people may argue that polar bears are also "reskins" and sure, they definitely weren't as hard to make as two new animals we are getting (caribou which is our first deer and dall sheep which is our first sheep), however, polar bears were highly requested by the community, unlike arctic wolves. From what I see people tend to go more for musk oxen and arctic foxes, both of which would be great for this DLC and would also be completely new models, not just old models with adjustments.
While timber wolves fit and adding them color variations would be an awesome gift for the community as Frontier technically promised different skins for animals and we've seen it only on striped and spotted ones.

Highly unlikely. Frontier dumped the MacOS platform on the only game of theirs that supported it just 12 months ago.
Only way you'll play it on a Mac is a Windows install via Bootcamp.
There is a lot of compute shader use. So no.

It is not a reskin of a timber wolf. Very different model. Very different behavior. Very different habitat requirements.

I would've rather had an arctic fox than a dall sheep but oh well.
I'll personally take any animal they give us. Even though I kinda wanted this DLC to have the muskox, I'm satisfied. Muskoxen can wait.

Eko Yogi most likely, the could’ve just made an albino variation for the timber wolf and it’d look similar to the artic wolf. Pity we didn’t get the artic fox or lynx, something a bit different

If the polar bear is just a re-skin I’ll be seriously mad, it’s a unique species, deserves its own unique model and animations.
