  • Broom Owners Club Pageant From Wroxham To Ranworth #platinumjubilee #BroomBoats #bankholiday
    Hi everyone
    Broom boats go back to 1898, when Charles John Broom was working for Norfolk Broads Yachting Co. in Molletts Boat Yard in Brundall. He subsequently bought the company and yard creating CJ Broom and sons ltd.
    Today, the boats and Broom Owners Club members, are across all of Europe and have regular meets together.
    I travelled in a Landamores of Wroxham, Mayfly 16 boat. An elegant, beautifully crafted , electric boat. The perfect boat to film from.
    An event such as this, takes a lot of planning and organizing. I’m sure you will all agree, Graham and Debbie did a marvelous job of making this event a success.
    Thank you also, to Mark for driving me about and putting the boat in the best places for me to film the flotilla.
    If you have enjoyed this video, please share it with your friends and family. That way, lots of people will get to see how you all celebrated the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
    Thank you all for watching and thank you for asking me to be part of your day. I had the most wonderful time.

    I worked for Brooms in 1975 on the hire fleet, one of the better yards at that time. On a serious note how crazy to cause all that chaos for the new changeover crews.

    Hi Lisa, wow some lovely boats there, I think Brooms are known all over the world as boat builders, the only thing I've wondered about Brooms boats is that they are quite tall boats and have difficulty getting under Broads bridges, although they are fantastic boats, but what the heck I'll never be able to afford one so why worry, I bet they had some fun that day going out as a flotilla, great video Lisa bye 🌞🌞🖐👍

    wow , what beautiful boats , & what a lovely flotilla , but i think Lady C needs an engine overhaul desperately , i'm just curious to know , how on earth did they get those boats over this side of the broads ? .

      They must have got under the Yarmouth bridges. Lowered the top sections and got under. I recognized a couple of boats from when I’ve filmed the River Yare. Hyperion is on the Bure anyway but I’m not sure where the others are from. Perhaps they will see your question and let you know.

      the 'smoking' exhaust? pretty normal for the engines in those;

    What a waste of police and ranger resources on a packed Bank Holiday weekend!! 🤯

      Yes , they should be out booking as many people as possible and making their lives miserable . Seriously , I'm sure they were ready to attend to any situation as it came up or do we stop every event on the Broads ?
