"i don't have a use for this rock truck but i definitly want it" ...you jsut used the classic statement of every guy in America , that has no use for something they want but still need it
Toys!!!!
Thx 4 bringing us along to the auction yard & sharing Ur smiles. Also was nice to see a bit more of Bobby & U all have a great Sunday!
I was running a Cat 988 loader in Valdez and usually got the new drivers because of my patience. I had been loading a new driver who was in a 10 yd truck and he would always forget to close his tailgate so I had to remind him just about every time. He finally graduated to a 35 ton rock truck and when he back under my bucket I gave him the tailgate sign, he utterly panicked looking for the tailgate switch for a truck that didn't have a tailgate. Made my day.
Cat installs the seats in their dozers sideways so you can see your winch in the back easier if you are winching or ripper if you are ripping. John Deere is starting to do this as well in their bigger tractors. We do primarily oilfield work and it sure makes it easier on the operator after a long day of winching to have the seat sideways.
See I knew there was a reason and some one would tell me why. Thank you so much.
If you think about it, in a dozer you spend as much time backing as you do going forward.
Uh no its so you can see the corner of the blade it may help you see the winch. Catskinners are always leaning to see the corner bit on the blade. I know catskinners that spend 10 hour days pushing at gravel mines with D8 and D9s
Loved the happiness and fun you two had! Now I want to go to an auction
It was so much fun
Mom duck: hey lets go to the auction to see if they have any equipment for ducks
Hey guys that “stop sign” is called a WigWag. Pretty much phased out by the mid, late 60’s. Older ones had to be reset by hand and later ones would go back up automatically. Enjoy your videos 😊
So weird haha
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver They were a pain in the butt, lol!
I ran a fleet of off-road dump trucks on a road tunnel project under the Suez Canal. Egypt back in the 1970s The trucks were DJB's a British built vehicle using Cat running gear. I'm a great fan of bendy steering and the fact the tail can be waggled while stationary can help with loading. We had 4 as standard dump trucks to haul away the tunnel muck and two fitted with flatbed bodies. These were used to transport the concrete tunnel lining segments to the tunnel face, each segment weighing 7 tons.
Have also used Volvo dump trucks to service a railway tunnel being built under the City of London, the tunnel curved it's way though the streets and between high-rise buildings pile's. The drivers did not bother steering round the curves as the truck would just slide down the sides of the tunnel speedway style.
I also drove a Matbro Mastiff front loading shovel again on a tunnel project in London UK. It claimed to be the first with hydraulic waggle steering and the company sold the patent to Caterpillar US. Friends would freek out when I drove automatic gearbox cars using my left foot to brake, I'd perfected the method as the loader had twin foot brake pedals. The one nearest the gas pedal for road use and the one to the left to rev the engine to raise the bucket while keeping the machine stationary. Would load an 11yard truck in 3 mins from a stockpile, so made lots of bonus.
Loved watching you back and unload the truck and trailer outfit, dumping soil at a neighbor's house. Have seen similar truck trailer outfits in Denmark but both units side tipped. Now retired I miss messy about on serious plant and have been relegated to a push barrow and shovel, but get the local kids laughing with my engine sounds.
Stay safe you guys and thanks for the memories.
Love the !BAM! sound effect when the rock truck bed came down! Glad you two had an eventful motorhead field trip!
Haha
When she did that I knew it was going to happen lol I laughed . The way it works is when u go down when the box is about 2 feet from down u let the leaver go it cushions down easy u can’t feel it . But if u hold leaver down the Hydraulics push it down there for giving u a good back lash and boom lol was good to watch lol
Gr8 to see y'all having fun together. Thanks for sharing your day and giving us giggles. See you in the next one.✌🏻♥️🙏🏻
This was very enjoyable as you two had so much fun together. Thanks for taking us along on a non-work event. Dominique you're the best keep up the great videos.
I’ll try!
Love your laugh and your sense of humor 😄 Some nice looking machines and trucks there 👍 nice video.
Thanks!
Thanks for bringing us all along on your fun Day It Was Fun!!
Keep Smiling On!!
😀👍👊
Great seeing you on the ground.
"TOM BOY" forsure! 😂
You want all the earthmoving equipment! Just like me.... 😅
The small lever in the wheel loader is the lever for the quit attach for the bucket.
The reason for the Seat being angled is when you are towing a scraper box or if you have a ripper fitted its not as awkward for the operator to keep there eye on whats going on
it was nice to hear your hubby talk this time and your happy !! love edbonjovi aka leak master plumbing in ct
Hi, I admit I don’t know much about trucks and all but am always interested in discovering new to me channels and I find yours very interesting so I will follow and catch up with older videos
Such a great time at a Heavy Equipment auction
Always!
Always looking beautiful and stunning ❤keep up the amazing work you do big hugs 💕
Great video really enjoy it. Liked the 77 kw dump truck. You 2 rock keep up the good work. Thank you.be safe.
You are so happy go lucky ☺️ love your videos keep them coming!! And thanks!!!!!
Thanks!
No gate on "Rock Trucks" back turns up a little to hold load from sliding out.
A lot of rock trucks have gates
Hi 👋 love it quality time together awesome and you both be safe and kiddo 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
The small lever in the loader bobby was trying to figure out that made the lines jump is a 3rd valve for a grapple or hyd adjustable forks that kinda stuff
I think if I was super wealthy I'd try to fund the restoration of vehicles like these. There are so many amazing trucks out there and it would be a shame for them all to just rot away. Surely there are a lot of talented and interested people who would benefit from the projects, whether out of personal interest, business growth or anything else.
As I work towards improving my computer career and mechanical hobbies, maybe it will become possible.
Thanks for the very enjoyable tour and sharing some of your time together. You both have a great energy that's very natural and comforting in a way. Your hard work in your respective fields is appreciated and enjoyable to witness.
Look at the
The CZcamsr diesel creek. Matt is really good restoring older stuff. Very mechanical. Good kid
I have drove one of those before it is fun to drive, after you get used to the feeling of it, and all the controls
Bid on the '77 KW. looks in nice shape, easy to work on. Get the feel of old school trucking.
if the dump bed slams down, there's probably a problem with the lift cylinders - they SHOULD have multiple ports for hydraulic oil to return to the reservoir, with the piston closing ports (thereby reducing the outflow) near the end of its travel; reduced flow = no slamming...
On the Volvo you have a quick disconnect for the bucket pull the lever forward till the bucket out a little bit it’ll drop out of it and then the bucket releases
Nice vise grip window crank on the old beast
The 0-100 lever is your Jake brake. Enjoy the vid I miss working construction sometimes
Props on the Cleetus shirt!
It's not a jump seat, it's a Banker seat! That's were your banker would sit when you take it for a test drive!
Amazing video as always
Glad to see you two getting out and having some fun on your own! #92, the 77' KW engine looks like a CAT 3406 mechanical, before they came out with the 3406E. Those 'old' engines did alot of work, lol. That little tour you took me on brought back alot of memories, Thanks!!
It looks like a pretty good truck
Jump seat is for a trainer. Usually a rock truck is the first big equipment that a newbie learns to run after using a shovel (manual shovel) or a skid steer.
Mexican dragline
They are fun to drive
Hey Niqi, you really need to bid on that massive, old Dart dump truck, it's so cool !
The D6 & bigger the seats off set so you can see the right hand corner of blade easier
Dauminique, you were so funny checking out that rock truck! It was like watching a kid at a construction equipment show! I did like the ‘77 W900. Don’t know what shape the engine and trans are in, but overall not a bad truck. All mechanical is good. If you think that’s old, you would have liked the ‘63 Brockway I used to drive with an 8V71 Detroit Diesel and Twin Stick Spicer transmission. And FYI that was in the 60’s!
It was fun seeing the auction with you and your husband, thanks for bringing us along.
Screamer
I’d be like a kid in a candy store. Thanks for sharing
Same!
The jump seat is for training new operators. Very common in farm equipment.
It has the chains up like you like..
Mini ex and skid loader can make good money. I started trucking dirt gravel etc then saw the money to be made in dirt work. Now I just use trucks to haul my equipment and sub out the dirt hauling
Those engines all you have to do is pull the back of the pump off and put some shims in it and make it go as fast as you want 😅
My interpretation of this video? Nothing but the dump truck driver version of “foreplay” for what is no doubt on the menu next. Besides, as a bonus, if you lay another egg, you will then need that 4 wheeler! 😂😂😂😂😂
In the early 2000s, I had Volvo A40D Articulated Dump Truck on the highway site...Best rock truck in the world...
I believe I once heird y the seat in the D6 dozer is sideways is to look by the hood so u can see your push blade
I bet you could drive the hell out of it you are one dang good driver with a gravel truckI been watching your channel I’m so proud of you being an owner operator you have a pretty Gravel truck yourself be safe
I’m pretty sure that backup alarms are required on all construction equipment and even fire trucks
I believe the bin position sensor on the 250D Deere articulated dump truck is bad. The bed should have had a cushioned stop or float mechanism. I work at a Deere dealer in Virginia.
Very great video for you all
Thanks
Yes they have an automatic gate when you race the dump box
Some do
You should buy the old black and white Police Cruiser near the big truck
Good video like seeing all the auction stuff aswell..Omg so much stuff.wish I had money for 25% of that lot! :)
Same
You TOTALLY need that bus!😎
Lol he said no bus!
The lever in the corner of the truck labeled 0 to 100 is like a jake brace
Partly up to let water run out to keep bed from rusting
I'm not equipment operator but I think the seats in dozer are side ways are because most people that operate them are right handed people.
Nice and lovely looking
Super machinerys 👍🚜🚛🚚 greetings from México 🇲🇽 amiguita
I also want a bobcat like that, and the seat would do for me if it just came to the right price.
That dump truck is 40 years old you said 1970 it's a 40 year dumb truck I am amazing that it still runs good I do not see rust and that sounds good too for 40 year old dump truck My brother and my sister was born in the 70s
Yes she said the right answer seats were installed at an angle because when you operate a dozer 50% of the time you're looking out the back window cut down on operator fatigue or the old stiff neck 😆
The best kind
You and you guy have to much fun. Nice to see. FYI you can’t be king of the world, you don’t have the plumbing to be king.
On some sites here in Australia the "beeping" alarms break "sound limits" especially in townships.
Time to head to the gold fields! Lots of toys up there. Rock truck, front loader, skid steer... Fun! Now run away before you spend all your money! :)
It’s online, can’t run from the internet.
love that W900
Same
Deere should use this video for operator training LOL glad I wasn't behind you when you dumped the water 🙂
Haha for what not to do?🤣
Well from out of the trip axle dumps that I saw from the video the 77 kw was prob one of the best looking ones there the red 379 was also pretty nice but compared to what they will probably bring at auction the kw would probably be the best deal in my opinion
The steering is very sensitive like you talked about, if you steer it to much while in motion you possibly can roll it,i have seen it done before
Hey there generally referred to as haul trucks 😀
I have to say,I agree with you. That Chevy would make a nice parts runner truck.
It would!
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriver good luck!!!
Rock truck, 70s kenworth dump truck and excavator would be my ideal bids. Oh and the black duramax.
The Duran ax was clean
You are having to much fun
Kids in the toy store 😂😂. About the haul truck check out Dirt Perfect on CZcams and see all the problems he's found on his. One thing about the Kenworth dump truck no def. Take care and have a blessed day and I'll see you on your next video.
The gym seed is for when you're training somebody yes have used to run those they're quite fun but they're not fun at 35 to 40 miles an hour loaded or empty empty it's worse than driving a 2 wheel drive
These bits of kit are in an auction for a reason. Check it out well . You are into some big money for parts
Some times yes but not every time.
that is an old 80s skid steer level controls now a days its joystick controls
It is not a passenger seat, but an instructor seat.
the lack of back up beeper and no working reverse lights would put that truck on the side lines untill lights fixed and back up alarm installed:)
Granted, it's fun checking out something new. Didn't you ever try the owner manual for dash
Id? 🥴🤔
As an operator of a D6 at a working landfill truck drivers and operators never did get along for the most part we don't want to yell at you for dumping in the wrong spot but we are busy enough just keeping up with all the trucks the landfill that I work at 300 trucks cross the scale everyday
G’day from down under 🇦🇺I love the banta that you guys carry on with 😂, I would love to know how much the trucks and the Farris wheel went for cheers and keep up with the great videos
The auction is still active. You can see what everything is at.
That transfer dump would have actually come in handy for your neighbor's house delivery when it was too muddy to push the trailer 👍. Just trying to help spend your money more wisely than yet another 4 wheeler.
Yeah, handy for that but nothing else that I do.
Love the video
Thanks!
Welcome
You might find some use for it.😅
I had a vibrator on my Tri-Axle it was great. They have som of the most random stuff for sale.
I think that’s how most auctions are. Very random.
If you get one of them and you're hauling dirt, be careful since they articulate they turn over real easy. I know from experience running them and heavy equipment having to use an excavator to turn them back over. I've see plenty of guys do it though
Yeah I’ve seen them on their side as well.
@@DauminiqueTheDumpTruckDriverdefinitely not a good thing. Stay safe Dauminique and keep the great videos coming.
That old 77 kenworth would be worth buying man I miss hearing them air over hydraulic sound took me back to when my father started driving a dumptruck his boss started him out in a 87 ford f700 single axle I wanna say it was no more than a 6 or 7 yard bed. I think it was a 5 speed with a two speed rear end then the same boss had a 67 ford f600 that one I remember when his boss drove a dumptruck it would be the f600. Then his boss had a 87 f800 diesel it had the air over hydraulic. I wanna say now the guy started out with two locations now he's got four different locations new kenworth t680 trucks and a cat ct660 tandem with four lift axles.
Wig wags!
i was screaming at the screen lol did u remember to put the parking brake back on for the rock truck? shared link to auction in discord groups
talk about "boys and their toys"
d6 seats are crooked so you can see better out of the door to watch the blade
You are so funny! Kid in a candy store!
