Millions of Ukrainians who moved from there over the years did this not because of Russia. They did because of the Ukrainian corruption, low level of life and constant "revolutions". And now many of them just use the chance to stay in countries with a better attitude to people.

As a Russian American, you are not a traitor! You are more of a cultural bridge between the two peoples and that I think is an invaluable effort at the times when the loudest mouths promote enmity. I always marveled at how similar Russian and American people are and yet at the same time how oblivious they are to that fact.
I retired two years ago from the US Air Force and I am seriously thinking about living in Russia. 👍

I would like to ask you, as a military guy that went to Afghanistan, why the US engaged in two regional wars (Iraq and Afghanistan) for nothing, spending trillions of dollars.
In Iraq the US helped the Shias (with strong Iranian influence) to take power.
In Afghanistan, after 20 years and trillions of dollars spent, the US got out in a disastrous way, leaving behind billions of dollars in military hardware and allowing the "enemy", the Taliban, to take over the government.
I will not mention here millions of civilians killed in both countries as a consequence of direct US military actions.

There’s no confusion. I am also a former marine who’s of Colombian heritage (and I have Colombian and American citizenship), my wife is Russian. To make it even more complicated we are going to live in Australia. None of this means I’m any less American or I turned my back on America. Nor do I prefer any nation above mine or vice versa. Our kids might be Australian by birth, but by blood they will be Colombian and Russian.

You won't be the only one!! I myself have been considering moving to Russia!!! I see Russia as being on a secure firm ground for its people for decades to come!! But I see the United States as fast approaching collapse due to a long series of very self destructive economic and political policies!!! It's recent policies are very anti-growth and anti-human!!!!

I was there in '16 and '17 as part of work and travel program. I was in Cape Cod, a supposedly "rich" people's place. I had my bicycle stolen two days after I got it by nibbas. I saw many druggies everywhere. One of them tried to punch me for no reason but I am 180 and had 85kg at the time with 7 years of kickboxing behind me, I didn't even flinch. But that's beside the point. I was on a date with US girl and we were walking down the street at 5 pm, I never had this happen anywhere I traveled. I didn't feel save at all in US, especially at night. Anyways, I didn't stay there for the simplest reason - no amount of money will make me raise my kids there. I went to breakfast with a guy I met in US (he's American) this January. We haven't seen each other since '17. Asked him how's US doing right now and his reply was: it was shit when you left, now it's 10 times worse.

@vanjamenadzer Crime has skyrocketed in every major city in the United States!!! Behind the scenes I think there is a group of people who deliberately pushing policies to weaken society in the United States in every way they can in order to create a crisis so they can push their "solution." Which would be their hellish version of utopia, or more like George Orwell's dystopian 1984!!!!
