Spring delights: Mathlin Cottage, Somerset

Set on the edge of a historic village, Mathlin Cottage in Somerset is a cottage-style garden abundant with the colours of spring. Behind the cottage seasonal crops grow in the vegetable plot, whilst established beds filled with spring bulbs bring a splash of colour before the views looking out to the Mendip Hills.

I can hardly imagine having a greenhouse. I just this past winter started growing from seed under lights, which was great. But having a greenhouse would be a dream.

I know! I only just tried tulips again after 30 years because of how abysmally they came back. Maybe this time I'll have better luck.
