How to install an electronic brake controller on a 2007-2014 Chevrolet Suburban | ItsZ4CH

  • In this video I’ll show you how to install a Tekonsha 90160 Primus IQ Electronic Brake Control on a 2009 Chevrolet Suburban. It should be the same setup like model for example the GMC Yukon.
    Tools needed.
    wire cutters/ strippers
    box cutter or pocket knife
    8 x 1.25 mm nut
    6 x 1.00 mm nut
    adjustable wrench

    Best video about this I have found. Thank you. Everything I needed to know and do. Did it just like you said and it worked perfectly. I have a 2013 Suburban. The dealer wanted about $500 to do it all because they would have to trace the wires LOL when they are right there in plain sight. They should be ashamed of themselves.

    Thank you for the insight. The instructions call for a "self resetting" circuit breaker feeding the brake controller. Does one of these terminals at the underhood fuse block provide this?

      He did say it was under and should be labeled. People are so lazy these days, I get your frustration but some times you do have to do a little work of your own.
