If you have this controller for the Mini 3, you can do the same thing and would just need to pair the RC remote after and the drone stays in FCC mode. You would need the two different controllers and it would take a little longer
I'm not sure whether it would be cheaper just to pay someone for the permanent hack. I did see a video where someone had sent the drone back for repair and it had been flown in FCC mode, but DJI didn't care

Ten patch nie jest trwały. Znika po każdym wyłączeniu kontrolera i drona I trzeba ponownie go uruchomić.
Właśnie zainstalowałam i zauważyłem. Narazie sprawdzam w domu bo jest silny wiatr na mini 2. Zobaczmy czy będzie działać. Mam stara wersję frimware 1.3.000 i dji fly ce 1.6.12 ale widzę że jakiś problem z uprawnieniami się zrobił. Choć większy poroblem mam z błędem kalibracji gimbal. Gdzieś widzalem film jak wgrać sofy żeny tego się pozbyć ale nie mam odpowiednich plików. U mnie to błąd systemowy. Wracając do patch fcc gdzieś czytalem na yt że niektórym zostało na stałe fcc ale nie wiem na jakiej wersji firmware.

My UK mini 2 has full signal strength. My max height is set to 392 feet, max. Just a thought, could the DJI mini 2 have the range adjust to CE mode if the max height is set to more than 400 feet, 120 mtrs?

Im using a mini 3pro i got the FCC app but i was a bit confused. The bar was under the 100 line and the 90 bar was just under the 1km but looking at your video of it.
It is exactly what you said in the vid does that mean that it’s in FCC mode as others say it has to line up with the 100 bar and just below the 90 thank you so much.

I use the 'mavic air 2 fcc' app for my Mini 2, but lately it's always in FCC. It doesn't go back to CE after controller reboot. I living in CE area. Is there a way to go back to CE ?

Works a treat on air 2s, shame you have to go through the same process every time you change the battery though.

But the range and singal strength is so! much stronger in FCC mode. Flying in CE is actually more risky as the signal is weaker. Regardless of vlos. I've had issues flying only a few 100 meters over some fields on ce and lost singal and had to mission to find drone.
im in australia and get 3.5 kilometers without fcc mode, will try the hack and see if i notice anything. mini 2
and mini 1 i own and both get 3.5kilometers with the slip on yagi 5 element beams. i have never flown without them, 3.5 is fun!

I have the mavic mini pro 4 and cant get further than 1.4k. I am stable at -86 ce mode in thailand and get a max of 1km, yet when i used a vpn set to a fcc country i got to -95 and increased my range to 1.4km. But cant get any more, even when in the open on the beach front with noone around. Would love to get further.
Ok , it work but I dont test this in Flight yet. I can fly more than 500 meters high with this Mode???

Why i am the only one with ffc mode but 90 db mark is below line od 90 db? I saw no one have like that. On left corner line is not straight to 90 db, its below 90, above mark is one little line which is on 90 db. That mark is also below 90 db on CE mode, but it should be straight like what all ppls have.

Interesting to know, but I don't think I would be using it in any way. In case of loss of signal, I would rather wait for the RTH to kick in, and most of the times I dont fly under 40% Battery to have plenty of buffer with my mini2 :)

In other videos it has been shown that FCC hacks do not work. You need to measure the real antenna strength before and after FCC hack. That's determines signal strength in 5.4 or 2.8 frequency.

Henrik, when I bought the mini 2 two years ago, it stated that it's range is 10km. I was wondering, does this 1 km mark mean that I can not fly the drone further than about-ish 1 km???
Bro, mine was going far when I bought it but with many recent firmware updates, It losses range within 250meters, 5G no more works properly, So, I always fly in 2G mode which gives me about 500meter, I never flown far.
Hopefully this hack helps me fix the signal issue

Doesn't work on Mini 2 SE on 01.00.0410 firmware. When removing the cable from the controller and inserting it into the bottom controller port, no notification is seen.

I've been using the method that uses a Fake GPS app, but the problem is that despite the visible change of location in DJI Go 4, I still have CE. Apparently, I would have to have DJI Go 4 max version 4.2.8. Unfortunately, I will not install it on newer versions of Android.

Kupiłem trochę dłuższy kabel 0.5 metra. Kabel tech 100 w z power delivery 480. Kabel ten nie działa jak podłączam telefon z kontrolerem. Wyskakuje napis na telefonie ładowanie sprawdź kable. Mój tel to samosumg s20 fe. Dlaczego na twoim kablu w tym filmie działa połączenie? Może trzeba coś włączyć w telefonie.

This would not work on my old Samsung Galaxy S7 that I use for my mini 2 with micro USB but worked without issue on my S10 with USB type C. I tried many times with different cables but it will not detect the remote at all with micro USB connected to the bottom of the remote. Many thanks for this Henrik .
Get the adapter from Android to c port its a small attachment the sometimes selll them at the gas station

What kind of drone company do you have? And what rc controller version? Does the mod still work on 01.06.0200 and rcn1 04.11.0400?
I'm in US with FCC model that it can fly miles distance without any issue. If I travel to European, will the DJI automatic switch to CE model? If does, when I need to download the patch, before leave US or after arrive in EU?
yes it does switch to CE mode if you go to Europe. also it does not matter when u download it

There's no such thing as a logging in the flight repository of what radio transmission used though 😂 furthermore there's no "law" preventing use of FCC radio transmission strength outside the north America's I believe. However there's restrictions on SALES of WiFi transmitters with FCC in areas whereas other strengths are regulated.

Could this hack/ software be used on the orginal Mavic Air. I have no reason to upgrade the drone as it serves my purposes, but do have issues with signal strength sometimes when it is not that far away. There have been pervious ways to switch but these have all been stopped through various updates from DJI to my knowledge.

You can always cancel RTH and bring it back manually.
