I can’t understand completely how she feels because she’s a celebrity but being an American with some Filipino family, I understand how such small mindedness is so frustrating. Good she left the Philippines. It’s so obvious how toxic her situation was. She’s so brave for being able to do this in a country that keeps telling her what she thinks is wrong. Now it was explained properly by Ogie Diaz about the commissions. Liza is the one who didn’t understood the contract. She said “ even though he has no more obligations” Yes he does not have obligations to her anymore but instead she is the one who has obligations to pay him. She signed that contract with him and overlapped on her careless management. Unless if Ogie will say “it’s ok don’t pay me anymore since you didn’t renew the management contract” but the thing is she still has obligations to pay him because they signed that agreement. And Ogie already told those brands that are approaching him about Liza to go to her new management. What’s up with Liza ? I think she should study more facts

He prefers to sensationalized on things rather than deescalating the issue which is not good leadership. He is publicly insinuating the controversy through his vlogs deliberately pinning her on his CZcams videos. He was not using derogatory words but rather publicly humiliating her. He was being nice but unkind to Liza/Hope. That's the difference between being nice and unkind, quite uncanny right?

She's very well spoken and she did articulate herself very well here. However, the content of what she said and the way she said them, still comes out as ungrateful. I don't rate her as an actress, I think her acting skills are lousy, but the way she was handled by her previous management made most of her successes. Her previous management made her into this bankable brand. She could have moved on, without sounding very resentful. And she should have let her current projects and achievements do the talking.

great interview! @boy abunda, i like the way you're critical and ask deep questions. What I don't like is, it looks like you're constantly referring to the grattidute and "utang na loob" that Liza should have, everytime she says something about "finding herself, having her own opinion etc." The fact that you want your own autonomy, doesn't mean you're not gratefull. This is typically a toxic Filipino trait, everytime you want something for yourself, you're parents or the people close around you who have helped you, always expect you to be grateful first and by being gratefull you should just stay silent. That's a lack of knowledge in Pinas if you ask me, several studies have shown that, in order to be a happy and complete person, there are several stages you go through and different needs in life. A popular study is the Maslow Piramide that shows, Maslow's hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five-tier model of human needs.The needs are: physiological, safety, love and belonging, esteem and self- actualization. Liza has clearly reached the last stage and that's trying to be fullfilled in life. Not all pnoys understand that as they stay stuck in the first few stages of needs of the Maslow piramide. I'm filipino and grew up in the Netherlands, so I know exactly what I'm talking about when it comes to obeying to your parents and being fullfilles as a grown up in the western world. I can’t understand completely how she feels because she’s a celebrity but being an American with some Filipino family, I understand how such small mindedness is so frustrating. Good she left the Philippines. It’s so obvious how toxic her situation was. She’s so brave for being able to do this in a country that keeps telling her what she thinks is wrong. Just saying, there’s a reason why the country isn’t advancing to the eyes of like every developed nation.

I can see it in her eyes of how grateful she is and very impossible to became ungrateful. Maybe a lot of people misunderstood her vlog content but if you are open minded you can learn 💯 . The essence of the vlog is stating the facts that will trying to tells us the true story behind the camera of who is " HOPE " , what is her feelings, experiences, dreams, wishes, and what if...as an ordinary person not a famous Liza Soberano because we knew that already. As in she's trying to express and wanted to share it in public as HOPE. But sadly, it was not that effective strategy and it caused the two camp troubles and fight each other on social media until it turns out messy and many opinions and speculation appeared. Now it was explained properly by Ogie Diaz about the commissions. Liza is the one who didn’t understood the contract. She said “ even though he has no more obligations” Yes he does not have obligations to her anymore but instead she is the one who has obligations to pay him. She signed that contract with him and overlapped on her careless management. Unless if Ogie will say “it’s ok don’t pay me anymore since you didn’t renew the management contract” but the thing is she still has obligations to pay him because they signed that agreement. And Ogie already told those brands that are approaching him about Liza to go to her new management. What’s up with Liza ? I think she should study more facts

He prefers to sensationalized on things rather than deescalating the issue which is not good leadership. He is publicly insinuating the controversy through his vlogs deliberately pinning her on his CZcams videos. He was not using derogatory words but rather publicly humiliating her. He was being nice but unkind to Liza/Hope. That's the difference between being nice and unkind, quite uncanny right?

She's very well spoken and she did articulate herself very well here. However, the content of what she said and the way she said them, still comes out as ungrateful. I don't rate her as an actress, I think her acting skills are lousy, but the way she was handled by her previous management made most of her successes. Her previous management made her into this bankable brand. She could have moved on, without sounding very resentful. And she should have let her current projects and achievements do the talking.

I really think na hinahanap pa nia talaga sarili nia. Kaya naman sa mga sagot nia ay parang minsan hindi sya sure at hindi nya maback up dahil di nya parin naiintindihan yung totoong gusto nyang mangyari. I think Liza is like a person na, she’d go take a risk of something for the price of learning from it. She just needs guidance. Totoo naman lahat ng sinabi nya, wala syang alam sa industry and how it works so oo nalang sya ng oo. Habang tumatanda sya sa showbiz, sguro nagkakapicture sya ng taong gusto nya maging, kaya frustrated sya na hindi naging collaborative yung mga projects and pag handle sakanya. Remember, maraming times na nasangkot sya sa issues just because she is speaking her mind and that is not the Public and Management perceived her to be. Kaya nga ang tagal na quiet lang sya hanggang may inner person na gustong lumabas sakanya and Careless was encouraging that side of her to grow.

What I don't like is, it looks like you're constantly referring to the grattidute and "utang na loob" that Liza should have, everytime she says something about "finding herself, having her own opinion etc." The fact that you want your own autonomy, doesn't mean you're not gratefull. This is typically a toxic Filipino trait, everytime you want something for yourself, you're parents or the people close around you who have helped you, always expect you to be grateful first and by being gratefull you should just stay silent.
