Just a tip! If you have cleaned your wooden board, don't use wood oil after cleaning but use olive oil. 😊
So much better and it makes the wood look beautiful in a natural way.

Love Ardingly went a couple of times when we lived nearby, always good bargains. Miss going to Borough market too far now from Hampshire.They have great food stalls.Great items I love wooden things as well .

Lovely to see you at an Antique Market for the first time this year. You showed such restraint!!😂😂I love the antique board. Make sure that you use Olive Oil on the board as it is much kinder than regular "wood oil". It also means you can put food on it if you want to. The cheesecake looked divine!!!!

Lol! I'm 3 minutes in and I'm willing you to get there before the last of the sellers have packed up! We sell at Ardingly and only sell on the first day as do 50% of the sellers and those who stay on the second day are generally beginning to pack up by 11am! I would always recommend you pay the extra for day 1 as you really do get a far better choice in both sellers and purchases. It's by far a better day.

Great Antiques Fair, good prices too! Maggies is such a good girl when you take her out and she seems to really enjoys shopping with you! My week? I have that chair, stored in my basement along with so many old items that I have collected over time. Lots of old meat plates too. So much down there! One of the experts that valued two items I took to the Antiques toad show wanted to come to my home to look at all my collection. But I was unsure if hubby would have liked that! They just happened to be here in Portsmouth, just across the toad from where we live, in the Marine Barracks grounds. It was a huge eye opener on the two items I took.

Oh there was so many things I would not have been able to walk past. lol. But that huge wooden cutting board is absolutely beautiful! I see you having that for the rest of your life. I love going along with you on your hunts! ♥️ It’s been very cold here in the States as well 🥶

Hi Luke! Wow what a charming antique market! You and Maggie are very brave to go out in that cold, but why doesn't poor Mags have her doggy jacket on though? Poor lil mama has a funny tummy then no jacket being out in that cold. The chair you got was really nice and that cutting board perfect to put behind your hob. Those large amphora jars, sand and oil jugs, are quite the statement pieces. 3 degrees and my 69 year old bones are the antiques. Thanks for taking Maggie along, most people don’t understand that Labradors are built for cold weather. Good food, good reads, and antique time travel. You just couldn’t ask for more. Maybe, 30 degrees next time. LOL.
I’ve been to Ardingly, as my husband and I did the tv program Bargain Hunt, 13 years ago! It’s huge! You need to read those books you got, because they’re great! An excellent choice (perhaps not the management book, lol) and the chopping board is gorgeous! Tiramisu is my favourite dessert! I love it! Thanks for the lovely vlog!

Hi Luke. I have been watching your vlogs for a couple of years now and really enjoy them. This one was really interesting because I love antiques and go to antiques fairs as well as enjoying the antiques programmes on the tv. Love the board and the utensil pots that you have in your kitchen are exactly what i use mine for too. Amazing how much you can fit in them. 😀

Yes I know what you mean it’s happened to me because I’ve got a dog and when they have a bad stomach keep going out specially you haven’t got a garden. Mine picks up a lot of food when I used to have a Labrador turn on for that picking up food hopefully she’s okay. Thank you for sharing that you take care. Keep safe all the family 🐾🐾😊👍

You and Maggie were very brave to go antiquing in -3 temps. That board is beautiful and is a great addition to your kitchen. Not sure what oil you're going to use on it, but you might consider oiling your bentwood chair too.
It will be great when you do a cookbook!! I've kinda cut myself off from buying anymore but will make an exception for you. My rule is I can only get new ones if they're a new cuisine and I don't think I have anything vegetarian ... haha!

Tip for chips on kitchen bench just colour in with Black marker so not so noticeable.

I go to Ardingly for the agricultural shows. I n ed to try it for one of the antique fairs. A lovely part of the country. Good news for the book. 🤞can’t wait.

The chair is exact same we sat on at school for secondary school in the early 1970's. So uncomfortable to sit on in class all day!!
Hi there from Australia, if the books are really damp, try placing them in a seal able plastic bag with rice, that will dry them out real quick, love your videos mate,

I think the chair is a Thanet bentwood chair. Often they have lovely decoration on the ply seat.

I've always wanted to go to the antiques fair in Newark, when I have money and someone to take me, coz I don't drive. Exciting news on the cookbook. We were supposed to be in our new home but it all fell through at the last minute. So we are in the process of another, hopefully this time we get it.
