    Here's something that's not seen too often on CZcams when it comes to railroading, switching. Though this wasn't the bigest of jobs, switching in general is one of the most inportant aspects of railroading but it often the most overlooked.
    Enjoy!

    It's great how you can hear the crew talking on the scanner, it helps show how the job gets done. Thanks for posting, excellent video!

    Hi hoolg! You're 100% right when it comes to switching vids. You just don't see enough of them. Don't know why, but this vid here that you put up is exactly the kind of railroad vid that I like watching. Thanks!!

    I was hoping the comversations on the scanner would come through clear. Apparently they did. It's kind of like their own narrative and it does seem to help in explaining what's going on.

    Was it you asking for the switching vid a few months back? I can't remember if it was or not but I knew somebody would like this one.

    Too bad about the caboose not being on the trains anymore.

    • @briang6040
      @briang6040 Před 5 lety

      That caboose was still there until around July or August, they moved it up about two miles away right above the CSX line next to a small bridge that crosses the tracks.

    what was that oarnge thing on the track?

    • @briang6040

      It's a derailer. And that's what it will do to, just in case of a runaway rail car.

    Honestly I think he's been on the local crew for a couple of years. I'd doubt he would be on this train being a "nooby" simply due to other more senior employees getting top bid on this top bid job.
    You got me on what you mean by 10 SMACK man. Care to enlighten?
