He did a great job sorting those differences. What I hate is you can't get a freaking seat belt height adjuster on any Equinox anymore, which is making me look at different makes.

I have a 2016 Malibu Premier wit 2.0 Turbo which is why I went with the 2.0 so it didn't have the start stop. If I get a newer Equinox with the 2.0, will it be start/stop with no ability to disable? If so, that's a bummer. Might even be a deal breaker for me?

    • @KBCarsChevyChannel

Well, well well, my just purchased 2019 LT AWD 2FL has Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Automatic Braking, and Intellibeam Headlamps. But no fog lamps, which I don't really care about. So far, it's been a good purchase.

The passive entry on all four doors was honestly the only good thing about the Equinox, as well as the beautiful orange, green, and blue colors. Why did Chevy take away that very convenient feature from the Malibu and the Cruze, too? If I’m looking for a GM product, it’ll either be 2016-2018 Malibu or 2018-2019 Equinox just for that passive entry on all four doors. Not a lot of other cars at that price do that.

I LOVE the start/stop feature on my 2019 Equinox as it improves my gas mileage ratings significantly. However, for those who want start/stop to never "engage", leave your AIR CONDITIONER ON and the engine will refuse to shut off when you stop. I myself deliberately TURN OFF my air conditioner (in summer weather) when I know I will be stopped for more than 6 seconds so that my start/stop system will ENGAGE. Then when I release my foot off the brake and the engine restarts, I turn on my air conditioner again.

I just got the 2019 2.0T in May and love it except the 3 beep alert when you close the door while idling. Pisses me off as I need to stop and idle frequently during nighttime hours and hate waking customers and their neighbors up at 0300! Any way to disable that? Did enough people complain about it that it's off the 2020 model?

    • @Anxcnt1prod

Yes, that feature can be disabled in the system preference menu on the car screen monitor. The seat material in the LT is hideous and It is such an ugly pattern. Equinox has suffered from ugly seats since it debuted in 2010. You always have to move up to leather to get decent seats. That was a deal breaker for us when we were shopping a few weeks ago. About time they added all those safety features as standard. Now they just need nicer seats and a bigger screen.

    • @USArmy91222

if putting down to L, works on all models, and I will test a few to be sure then I may buy one, even though I shouldn't have to drive in L every day, but if it doesn't work and not certain it would on model I may get, I may just not buy this car, even though I like it, cause of this stupid stupid, did I say stupid feature... How dumb is GM ? No way they're not aware buyers, or many of us, don't want that fckin thing.. it's also a dangerous feature, cause what if it doesn't start up (which is possible, on a rare occasion), and such being at a key moment you gotta get out of the fkn way, or be slammed... do we know of a way to disconnect it after you buy the car ? bypass some wiring or something ?
I'm also liking the santa fe (but low on power, and I don't like that...hmm.), Outback is the other one on my short list, and deals on the 2019's now...6 cyl. power and o.k. on gas..and better awd system..... CX5 is awsome, but couple silly features, lack there of, ruin that option too.. not many in this class and price range with good power.. many have non-turbos that are too slow/gutless.. .. If I go for this, dealershipgm, i hope have huge savings offered, I'll consider it if I can get $6K or more off...

You failed to explain what the passive entrance is. You as a salesperson would know. 99% of customers don't.
Think like a customer not a salesperson. You need to improve on this.
The entire video was you talking to another industry person not talking to customers who need to be educated on these things you're talking about. Why point out differences in stuff if the person watching is left with the impression of "I don't even know what that thing is that you're speaking about."
