I'm sure you realise this already Brooksy, but treasure those moments,. I'm lucky enough at 56 years of age to still have my Dad around. He's 86 years young, is battling Parkinson's disease and still loves coming for a run on my local river trolling up a few flathead puts a huge smile on his face. You could see the glint in Ron's eye..... 3 fish of a lifetime in one day. Legend!
Nothing cooler than pops catching 4 meters of fish on light tackle in three attempts! No better way to reintroduce him to the addiction. All the thumbs up 👍🏼 for Ron!
Way to get it done bro. Time spent with your father fishing weather you catch or not can't have a value put on it. It is truly priceless. Then when he caught 3 killer fish is just freaking icing on the cake man... God bless and keep doing what you do man.

Great video Brooksy. My old man taught me how to fish the sea and freshwater. Like you, I had the pleasure of taking my dad out and teaching him how to fish with lighter tackle off the rocks and on boats and he even caught a few p.b.'s and new species too. Great memories I'll cherish forever. 👊👊👊

epic Brooksy. doing ur dads old boat up and taking him to the roy so he can find his fishing passion again, thats wat its all bout. special moments. totally agree with net free zones and the income to the communities. the mighty brunswick river grew up on that river as a toddler and fond memories casting spinners for tailor on the north wall and round seagull rocks. also chasing flathead in front of harrys hill. family still have the beach house there as well. grandfather built it in 1945.

It was not only entertaining but also a little bit of an emotional roller coaster as far as the happiness' the care and love that shined through for your father.
You were constantly checking on him, making sure he was OK.
Then there was the happiness and joy from your father, overcome to a point of the sheer size of the fish he had caught.
The special bond youse have is quite obvious.
I could go on and on, but i won't.
At the end of the day, it was a very refreshing and highly enjoyable video.

I've been looking forward to seeing this fishing trip since you did the boat restoration video. My dad had a medical scare a couple years ago and it had been several years before then that we had fished together so I know the feeling of getting dad back on the water. Enjoy every minute and I hope you get to fish with him for many more years to come.
