    🚄 INFORMATION KEY
    Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOPS#TO...
    Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more
    ➤ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Train_r...
    Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.

    Watford Junction is a railway station that serves Watford, Hertfordshire. The station is on the West Coast Main Line (WCML), 17 miles 34 chains from London Euston[4] and the Abbey Line, a branch line to St Albans. Journeys to London take between 16 and 52 minutes depending on the service used: shorter times on fast non-stop trains and slower on the stopping Watford DC line services. Trains also run to Clapham Junction and East Croydon via the West London Line. The station is a major hub for local bus services and the connecting station for buses to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter. The station is located north of a viaduct over the Colne valley and immediately south of Watford Tunnel.

    Watford Junction, mainly local services stop there and very few expresses. Many charter trains either stop or run past. There is one coming up called 'The Electric Scot' between London Euston and Glasgow Central and return.

    Never been to Watford Junction but I would like to ride on the London Northwestern Railway train to St. Albans Abbey which is mostly operated by Class 350 Desiros. And Class 350/2s and Class 319s are to be replaced by the Class 730 Aventras when these new trains do eventually enter service this year. Overall very good video.

    Hi again ....
    The station does not seem to have changed much since the days I described under the Berkhamsted Station video! Especially on Northbound train views where you can see the entrance to the tunnel?
    What happened to the "Aboveground Underground" that used to curve off to the south-west but then rejoined on the way into London?

    • @StarlifeStudios
      @StarlifeStudios  Před 2 lety +1

      The tunnel visible is the mainline Watford Tunnel (I believe they are separate from Slows). I believe you are referring to the Croxley BR branch? I don’t think it has been used for several years so it most likely lies redundant. Interestingly, I think the line is still partly used for London Overground trains through Watford High Street, happy to be corrected though 😃

  • @inkysquid4

    Still amazes me that barely any powerline freighters are in the UK.
    Bahamas looked lovely and the 390's at speed aswell as the other vintage diesel loco with the heritage train.
    Another brilliant video mate. Have you ever been to Hayle or along the St.Ives Branch line? Not a diverse number of trains but still pretty decent.

    I do hope LNWR Keep the 319s, Like seeing them in the Green Livery, they were so good with Thameslink for all those years too. Please keep them in service, all the good traction are being scrapped for Crappy trains, not to say that 350s are Crappy, its mostly other companies that build rubbish compared to the stuff they should've kept. I see old Cars and old Bikes and old vehicles all over the place, and nobody scraps their metal, keep keep keep keep 319s.
