I just watched one with a professional voice over and they installed one all messed up. They used the old mixer valve and ran the water to the new mixer valve and then had the comments turned off. I bet there’s a lot of people pissed off ay them. Good Job on this one though.
Teflon isn't used to seal. Teflon is used so the tread smoothly tightens for a good seal.
