Where I work we technically have fake cameras. I'm not sure if by design or some other reason, but 4/16 of our camera cases are empty. Not that it matters anyway. They just use them to see the employees, which makes it really easy for them to lose money. They teach us to prevent theft from customers, but they only make an effort on their end to prevent employee theft.
One of my coworkers used to be a cop and said they stopped doing it for the most part because if someone ran up to the empty car looking to get help no one would be there to help.

I'd respect churches more if they'd do something to help. I know there was a story a while back about a priest who allowed the homeless to stay at his church, but the local government made him stop. But imagine if every religious leader did this and they used the same excuse that gets them out of paying taxes and whatnot. Yknow... following the will of god by being kind to others in spite of earthly principalities? It wouldn't make me believe in a diety but I'd have alot more respect for the religious in general if this was what their beliefs led them to do. Instead, tithes and donations are used to make cosmetic upgrades to church buildings and pay the salaries of the people who read at you from an old book... sometimes very angrily. I just find it baffling that there is even one homeless person in my USA while those with "religious conviction" spend time and money every Sunday in order to ensure that next sunday, they can give more time and money. I was homeless for about a year. Tent in the woods of North Carolina. It sucked. No one wants to hire a homeless person. I had to reluctantly return to my family. Yeah, I chose a tent over the shame. 😧 Homelessness alongside wealthy religion is a big deal to me. It really pisses me off.
Traffic light control rooms can control traffic lights, it helps police catch up with wanted cars, they also pick distinctive cars to practice on, so if you drive a modified car or colourful car they are more likely to use your car as timing references

And when you need something large moved you can pay people to move it for you. Roads used to be for walking until car companies paid to have the government to pass several bills in their favor. It would be like if it became illegal not to own an iPhone... who profits from that?

Homeless people are actually far more likely to be the victims of crime, disproportionately so. Around 40%. Unless you have a solution to scared, desperate people not having a place to sleep, maybe don't complain about them trying to find a semi-safe area to rest so they don't get stabbed in the middle of the night.
