I don’t really keep a budget, but I do keep track of all of my purchases in a spreadsheet so I can look back and find that really helpful. I truly went into this year saying that I was going on a low buy, and that has not gone well because I have been stressed and depressed and I use polish as a coping mechanism. But I can say I have spent $300 less than Jan-July 2023, so small victories haha.

I like this concept for videos! I appreciate how a lot of your purchases were ones you'd been dreaming of for awhile, and frugally shopping destashes. Some of my favorite nail polish purchases were huge mystery indie destash boxes.
You have pretty picks! I recently came to the realization that I need to put myself on a budget when it comes to polish. Well, maybe I knew it sooner, but I feel like I've recently come across several videos where people are taking personal inventory so it sort of confirms that I probably need to do the same. Those Voyage polishes are so gorgeous! I'd never heard of them before. And if you are happy with your purchases, good for you! I feel the same way. I used to feel guilty, but had to ask myself, why? I just want to make sure I'm being responsible and having fun! Enjoy! 😀
This was super helpful. I got back into polish almost 3 years ago, and this year I’ve gone a bit nuts with indie brands and PPU. This month has been my worst in polish spending in my life. I’m hitting the breaks, hopefully, next month since I have a budget I don’t want to go over for the year. To not exceed it now, I will need to pull back A LOT. I have sooo many untrieds in my collection now that my plan is to shop my stash. I’d be crazy not to, because I invested in so many amazing polishes this year. Love the Nicole Math (TM) 😂

Whoa whoa whoa, what happened to Sinful? Stg I just saw Sinful in its usual place at my Walgreens like a week ago. Are they seriously going away AGAIN? They already did this to me in the late 90’s/early 00’s and I was sad for YEARS. 😭
If you check out their last post on IG it was from 2022. The comments are mainly people missing the brand 🥲 But I did get a message from someone saying they'll be offloading their sinful colors soon 🥳 Hopefully I can get some at a decent price.
