Which starter is your favorite from this set?
Great idea making stands for these cute little guys! Will try making stands for my next project.
Thanks so much! I love making stands..still improving the stability in them..I think that's where the creativity comes in, haha! You'll have to try out some stands, they're awesome! I appreciate you checking out the video and leaving your comment.
These Pokémon look adorable. Great job. Love me some Bulbasaur.
Thanks so much! They turned out great. Bulbasaur is pretty great, but gotta stand up for my main man, Squirtle (I'm based because he was my first pokemon ever....raised him to level 79 on OG Blue.) :)
Nice. I love squirtle and the squirtle squad from the anime lol The OG starters are the best in design. @@nostalgicnicknacks
Are you using an app for your pattern? Any tutorial on how to make patterns.. Thank you 😊
Thanks for the question!
Yes, I am using an app called BeaditHD. I do have a tutorial video for it on my channel. Unfortunately it’s no longer available on iPhones..but I still have it downloaded. Not
Sure if it’s still on android or not.
But regardless of that….there are other apps out there. A popular one is the perlypop app. Some others I’ve tried are beadscreator & beadle. I will be doing a tutorial for that or another one soon.
Thanks for checking out the channel!

Do you happen to know if the perler buckets that have 22,000 beads in them are the minis? Looking at yours compared to my beads they are huge
I looked them up and the 22,000 bead buckets are only for the regular-sized midi perler beads. I use the midi perlers, haven't gotten into the minis yet (I am intrigued though.) Maybe they just look bigger because they are zoomed in on the video?
Thanks for your question and checking out the video.

I was wondering did you come up with the pixel designs or adapt an existing design? Also I was wondering how you went about translating pixel art colors to perler colors. For example I was going to try to make the bulbasaur sprite from Fire Red but it actually had a decent amount of different colors in it.
Great questions! So I have come up with a few of my own designs but most of the designs (like these pokemon sprites) come from the original sprite sheets. I use spriters resource www.spriters-resource.com/3ds/pokemonomegarubyalphasapphire/sheet/64163/ (this link will take you to the pokemon sprite sheet.)
So, I take the sprite sheet image and use an app called "beaditHD" (don't think it's availiable for download anymore, but the perlpop app is pretty good.) That app will change it to a bead template.
As far as choosing colors...alot of the time it's trial and error to match a similar color with the pixel original. If you are just starting out, try simplifying the character colors. Sometimes you can get a good-looking bead character by only doing two shades of green instead of four shades, but it really is just getting a feel for it and experimenting. Imagine that you are painting and in that respect ...be as creative as you can be, but now your painting with beads. :) Hope this helps.
