ABOUT US: We’re traveling full time, living on our own terms and showing you the up-close-and-personal details of us figuring it out along the way. Sometimes it’s about navigating big, life-altering decisions. Sometimes it’s about navigating the seemingly lawless free-for-all that is driving in Hanoi. It’s moments of triumph and moments of panic.
The good, the bad, the ugly - and most importantly, the real and real funny. We’re not here to tell you “how it’s done.” Just how we’ve done it. And that whatever it is that’s calling you - the way you’ll do it is much more attainable than it may seem. We believe the world’s a more interesting place when people reject convention in favor of what they actually care about. This is us putting that idea to the test - one budget spreadsheet, RV renovation and mountain-peak drone video at a time.

Man u should make a full series rather then an full episode 😁😁 for more subscriber.
Most people go to Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh in India on bike trips. I am yet to see a group of foreigner bikers go to the states near the Indo-Chinese borders in the Himalayas like Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim which has a lot of pristine beauty. Next time try to plan a trip in those states of India.

Beautiful India. Love from USA
My wife along with me and two friends made this trip
May 2018 by ourself to Manali and than up to Leh and Diskit. We enjoyed watching your movie every second. Recognising familiar places and recalling great memories. Well done and thank you 👍👍👍Incredible India (we hope to go back soon)
This is our Incredible India ❤️ but unfortunately the western media never telecast this scenes
Jo western media dikhati hai vo galat nahi hot hai. Types of people watching this:
1) kuch zada hi "proud" Log jo ye acknowledge nahi karte hai ki India abhi bhi third world desh hai. Western media kya galat dikhya hai bro? Kya India mai sabse zada poverty nahi hai? 350 Million log poverty mai hai India mai.... Aur ye US ki population se zada hai. Aur bhai ek baar poverty ki definition dekh lena. Kya caste discrimination nahi hota hai india mai? Ek baar apne se puch ke dekho, kya ye nahi hota hai? Kya indians bhot zada racist bhi nahi hai? Upar se sexist bhi... Kya galat dikhya western media ne.
Western media bas ek galti karta hai ki vo one sided dikhata hai.
Tum log GDP ka rona karte ho par fact hai ki GDP per capita India ki bhot kami hai... India mai sabse bhookha ( world Food index mai 122 pe hai 124 countries mai) peena ke pani milna mushkil hai India mai kai jagha pe.... Bro western media kuch galat nahi dikhata hai... Par one sided dikhata hai.
2) vo log jo genuinely curious hai ghoomne ke liye
3) vo log jo jante hai ki kitni editing kar ke isko banaya gaya hai.. Ek baar Taj mahal ja ke dekho... Tumhara mann nahi karega kabhi doobra jane ko... Itni bheed, aajeb log jo pata nahi sala itna stare kyo karte hai.
Chall chhod jab tak hindustan mai cinema rhega tab tak log bante rhenge.
Aur jab tak whatsap pe subha good morning message ayenge tab tak logo ko kuch nahi hoga.
@@imcuteasduc That's alright but still It's the fastest growing country of the world. And it's not the india that you saw back to 80s and 90s it's the present India . Atleast the western media should give a lil appreciation to our country rather saying it's same as earlier , but they won't . India unke liye hi beautiful hai jo jis tarah se dekhte hai isko . I agree that rapes , racism , discrimination should totally be stopped in our country . But ye yaha zyada hota hai kyuki india ka population zyada hai baaki desho se and agar nos. K hishab se compare krey toh America me zyada racism , rapes , crimes hote hai comparison to our country . Western media apne crimes me focus nhi krte but most of times they target those developing countries of South East Asia .
And tumhare lye india waise hi hoga jaisa tum sochoge . Tum jaise log hi ho jo kabhi ekk dusre ka saath nhi dete and isi k wajah se tumhare lye aisa lgg Raha hai apna desh . Itne gyaan naa deke agar hum indians k sath eek sath chalte toh kab tkk apna desh aur v behter ho jata . I'm sure ane wale 20-30 years me we'll achieve and gonna control in everything. Bass fact yhi hai ki eek sath chalo desh k sath tabhi toh badhega apna desh . And tumne jo ye Saab facts rakha hai yaha isme koi doubt nhi ki hum abhi v inn sab chizo me piche hai baki desho se but phir v socho eek bar duniya me baki bohot desh hai Jo humse v kaafi gareeb hai phir v kabhi wst. Media unme focus nhi krte zyada . Kbhi photage ya reporting krte bhi hai toh only a few clips and details were being showed. Agar tum log v desh k sath sath chaloge toh eek na eek din hum zarur kamyaab honge world no 1 country achieve krne me in terms of everything .

I'll have to let him know! Luckily, we didn't end up "needing" our gear but really happy we had it. Some of those riders took some pretty nasty spills but luckily no one got hurt because we were all armored up!
Probably the coolest and funnest thing we have seen😮 100% on the bucketlist now😍😍
Sikkim, Kashmir and northeast India is beautiful
Make you don't miss North East India. It's a bomb
Govt is working rigorously on these mountain roads . In next couple of years it would become a much more secure and smooth ride. Every year these trips in Himalayas are inc. becoming popular among locals too.
exactly
Ikr !! The roads in Uttarakhand man, my god. They have improved so drastically, it was just beautiful. Till the char dham project is completed, roads will be even better🤗
Yeah.. 4 dharm then 4 dham Railway projects.. can't wait for it to be completed. 😌
@@SafedKhargosh yaa bro I live in dehradun a the road are fantastic I can go hardware in less than 20 minutes. And the char dham road project is also going well.rishikesh to karanprayag railway project is also going well. There was a time when we have to wait for 1 or 2 days in traffic jam near srinagar. But the roads are good enough

That was epic. A bike ride in the Himalayas is something this 65 year old lady will never get to do; so, thanks for filming and posting..

Wow this is epic. Really want to go on an adventure like this!
You visited the tunnel when it's under construction.. Visit now and see the difference
The tunnel where they visit was not Atal tunnel. Atal tunnel links Manali to Lahaul valley and they were coming from Manali towards Banjar valley
it was AUT tunnel not Atal tunnel

Superb. Manali has changed since I was there in 1988.
It had to be SO much quieter back then. It's still a pretty low key place now but def a gateway to adventure for all sorts of travelers and tourists.

As someone who has travelled so much on Himalayan roads and spent a portion of my life there, i remember a saying -"mountains don't forgive". Im glad you had a safe journey and that you had a great time in my country. Keep coming back i guarantee you there are more Himalayan and other scenic journeys that you should experience. Great job!
the cows on the roads are like....."what, what , what are you looking at, no one touches us here...!!!"

Bikers : *A'ight homie! Respect to the OG's!"
I'm 64 years old, an Ohioan who lives and works in the Himalayas in Mussoorie. I'm a biking enthusiast who goes mountain riding and riding in the interior whenever he gets the opportunity. My last ride was Spiti Valley. It was fun watching what it's like to fly all the way here from the U.S. for this trip, have the riding experience of a lifetime, and go back when it's done. Imagine living here and getting to do this all the time. All tha hazards you described are just everyday riding now. 🫣
Nice
Can't believe have watched the entire video. 😌 But it was worthwhile.
My suggestion would be : Visit the North East India if you haven't.
I hope you had an amazing experience.
I don't know how this popped on my feed , but I soo loved it. Wonderful editing , good humour and damn I too watched it for straight two hours. Love from India 🔥
This is one of my favorite seasons of Tripped! You did an awesome job Tim! Hope you guys are well!
Derek! It's been a minute- a year later, it was finally time to put up the long version of this video. We've been running around Maui filming like crazy and didn't have time to put finishing touches on St. John to cap of VI. Back to regularly scheduled islands next week dude.
The BEST India film I have watched thus far!!! Your "old man" is legend!!!!!
I looked at the length and thought no way. Glad I started, couldn't stop. Very entertaining. Thank you.
😆😆lovely compliment!
Same for me, I have travelled to those roads already, but it was a nice 2 hour beauty of Himalayas
How does this not have like a bajillion views? Your guys’ content is amazing. I have watched almost every video on your channel and this might be my favorite, nice work Tim! 😃
MAGNIFICENT! KUDO'S to 70 year old dad! Liked the no selfie stick portion as it gave the feeling I was on the bike with you! Thanks Tim, you missed out Finn!
That was great! Love that it was one 2hr film instead of lots of small ones. I travelled down the Rhotang Pass by bus on the way from Leh to Manali 20yrs ago but somehow managed to sleep through the whole thing 🤣. Good to see what I missed. Would love to do the trip again by bike. I have a Himalayan and they're great bikes.
Whoa! That was epic! Intense dangerous roads, but worth the experience. Next one will be Tim and Fin in The Long Way Up 😊
We have one episode of that left to finish. Really enjoyed Round and Down much more, right?
@@timandfin Just finished the whole thing. I don’t know if I could handle the road conditions, but it was a blast to watch. Always awesome to see what you guys are up to.
This looks like an incredible adventure,.. Please Tim, wear gloves whenever you're on the bike. After 40 years of track and street I know, first "hand" that the first thing to contact the ground is your hand when you crash. While nobody wants to crash, it happens and you need your hands.
Awesoem video !! .. I just recently bought the Himalayian and loving it !!! cant wait to see more !!
Had a blast on that bike! I think everyone loves the style of Enfields. It was a fun bike to take on a trip like this. SInce we had the mechanic support crew I have no idea what kind of love went into keeping them running so well- they were always just ready for the next leg of the trip in the morning. I met with you guys on the way during your trip by a river at a pit stop just next to Kaza :) we were going from Shimla to Manali through spiti and you guys were driving from the other way. Probably the longest video of this terrain that I watched and could not skip a minute. I could feel your enjoyment. You deserve hell lot of views. Just let this corona settle down so that people shall plan trips to Spiti and Laddakh and then my friend your video shall start getting a lot of views!
It’s truly a blessing to be able to do this with your dad. I wish I had the chance.
this is so wholesome, and there was no skip at all, it's like i rode along with you guys. Also, i absolutely love your dad.
How you feel about Royal Enfield Himalayan in the roads of Himalaya
I think it gives real happiness to your journey
I would imagine there were a lot of sore butts and aches and pains afterwards? Those roads were crazy. I’m with Fin on this one...not my cup of tea. Good on your dad for having the spirit of mind and body to do this!
Bob (my dad) was the MVP of the group doing the trip at 70 years old. Handled the roads like a champ.
I hate when someone says...that was ridiculously expensive...several times...but doesn’t say how much a postcard was, or how much a stamp to the USA cost??? It’s all part of the experience that I want to know about!
As someone who got to dirt bike with my Dad for fifteen years in BC, Canada, including my fair share of streams and rivers, I know how easy it is to hit a rock that can throw your bike for a loop and buck you off. Watching some of the bike video reminded me of the many great rides we had but at the same time I thought hitting the wrong rock was going to send someone over the edge. Scary to watch but thrilling none the same. Great video. Amazing country.
Loved every second if it. Truly Awesome. Thank You.
Such beautiful scenery. Felt like even 2hour footage wasn't enough. Great job of capturing it so well!!
Noticed there’s a woman in the group...I’m impressed. Glad no one got seriously hurt, as it looked like there were many, many opportunities for disaster.
The woman in the group was probably the biggest tough guy in the pack! Every rider was very skilled- I think it came down to bad luck as to who fell and how badly.
Awesome video. Himalayan Heights is my goal for next year with Ride Expeditions. This trip is just amazing!!!
I LOVE INDIA ... LOTS OF LOVE FROM PAKISTAN

The roads are terrifying 😳 😬 All power to ya'll because I couldn't hack those roads for hours!! Beauuuutiful scenery 💕💕💕Great videoing!! The transition from riding to drone was awsome 👌
this ride seemed no joke. You guys have balls of steel. If I ever make it to the top of the himalayas, Imma put that up in my resume. Mad respect for ya'll
Great vid, I am from this place. Most of the roads here get damaged every year in monsoon and meters of snow and are rebuilt. So road quality varies every month. Though now big projects are underway here.
Cheers! Visit again 🙏
This is My Country ❤️🇮🇳.... Thankyou guys for visit us and experience the most amazing adventure........... 🙌🙌🙌
Simply amazing I watched to the end!!!!!!! One question: What was average hours you rode each day. I am 65 and I wonder whether I could try. Your dad is an inspiration to me. Amazing motorcycle adventure!!!
Ofcourse you should try so you don't have any regrets afterall we only live once, you with the crew can decide the riding hours and have fun ;)
Yes you can try if you dare. But between April and June. Winters are very harsh in this part of India. Roads became so dangerous in snow. If you want to see lafdakh winter videos you can watch jatt Prabhjot vlogs This video is done in summers. So please try only in summers.
They really need to develop the roads in hp...it has amazing scenery but good quality roads can attract much more tourists...❤️

I meant to watch the series when it came out, but missed quite a few. Even better as a 2hr programme, something relaxing about watching bikes riding through mountains. Maybe not for the riders :) . Brill!!
Awesome! That's the idea behind putting out something more longform- just come along for the ride and you can see how much changes about the landscape as we make our way North.
Amazing video! I love watching you travel the world and showing places that aren't to prevalent to most.
the big difference between a Himalayan truck driver and a normal driver is that they are driving everyday to earn money and trying to survive and feed their family and rest are visiting one time for fun. we should respect them and stay out of their way. loved your vlog
1:18:32 ..and there's a reason for it because Government found out that there were some militants conducting their operation. Army requested to gov to not allow any private internet provider to extend their influence in so many places in uphills so they probably might have temporarily discontinued the services.
