I think the whole RHCP gang is aging very gracefully (both physically, mentally and even spiritually as it seems), non of them feel old, not what you would perhaps expect considering their years of addiction etc.

Running a business is nothing like running a country and especially considering this businessman inherited his business from his father who created it. He also is a businessman who has a LONG history of treating employees horribly and various failed businesses. If you knew U.S. history you would know that he is by far the least experienced for the job. Zero political or military background. I was referring to a post he had made about Trump when I asked him and let´s be honest if you had 10 minutes with Flea and you would not only like to talk about politics, who would you ask him about, Hillary or Donald? Also just because he talks about Trump does not mean he supports Hillary. That is an assumption you can´t really deduct from this interview.
It's a fair question. I personally, don't sit up at night wondering how Hillary could possibly get to where she is right now and why people are considering her a candidate for president. That's obvious to me (and I'm not a supporter of hers) as she's spent a lifetime in politics and had run before etc. I, along with a lot of people, both can't believe, and at the same time totally understand why someone like the Donald is taken so seriously by so many people. Flea is correct, but he also forgot to mention that a lot of these people have had to stomach 8 years seeing someone that is a shade too dark for their liking in that position. There's a huge undercurrent of racism and xenophobia that goes along with just being uneducated and uniformed that propels someone like Trump to the position he finds himself in right now.
Of course you only asked him about Trump because you wanted to do another hit piece on Trump. You can't honestly say you didn't know Flea was a leftist since he is on record about is socialistic point of view. No you did this video to validate your narrative.
Yet what Flea says is spot on. How can anyone who devotes their entire life to himself and his wealth, often at a cost to others, be seen as someone that wants to help the average person, or anyone other than himself? He IS one of the least philanthropic billionaires. He has hurt a lot of small business and workers with his bankruptcies and didn't help those people once he recovered financially. He doesn't pay anything into the federal revenue that we need to build our infrastructure, military or national defense. He did everything in his power to evade the draft and serving our country. He also has used eminent domain to force people from their homes against their will, so that he could acquire their property for his use. I am stupefied that people trust him to do what is in their best interest.

It has been demostrated that, summing it up, playing music and being in a band makes the brain work more and more, not just some parts, all of it. I personally know absolutely no real musician that would vote for Trump. So what i mean is, if you're smart, not arrogantly smart, you know who to vote. I play guitar, a little bit of drums, I used to play some piano but I gave that up.
Most of my influences include bands such as Radiohead, the verve, RHCP, PJ harvey, the pixies, arcadefire. To name a few.
I use a lot of delay and effects for guitar, I guess my style could fall somewhere between shoegaze, alt rock, math rock, and experimental rock.
Whatever, i won't get in a fight with Trump supporters again, you just can't get out of it, nobody wins, just 2 people fighting

I love you guys, you are a most awesome band, and I hope some day to see you live. On the topic of the new administration of which I do support with hopefulness but good results for all remain to be seen. Consider this reason for my support. I am not poor, and I am not rich either. However, what I am is the epitome of the middle class wage earning American. I am self employed and enthusiastically work 40+ hours a week for slightly less than the average annual income (google it,) and the previous administration only hurt my income. Here's how. First of all, my income taxes went up across the board by 5%. Secondly with the establishment of the Affordable Health Care Act my health insurance premiums doubled which made them not affordable for me, so I had to drop my health insurance coverage. Thirdly, Now because I don't have health insurance, I get to pay a penalty fine (2.5% of my gross income this year) for not having it because I can't afford it. Please read it again and please understand why Trump was elected. It's not because I/we hate the other side or what they stand for, it's because I'm tired of being penalized for being a hard working American. Will this administration be any better for me and other hard working Americans in my situation? Who knows at this point in time, but I'm hopeful, and I'm hopeful not just for myself but rather hopeful things can get better for all. But with all this said please understand that I don't believe anyone in Washington can really make my life significantly better, that is up to me and me alone, and honestly life is pretty good being an an average American!

LOVE Flea! Soooo intelligent and articulate! So cool that he started up a music school that emphasizes technique, music reading, and expressive musicianship. This is something rock-n-roll sometimes minimizes. And yes -- the poor in the U.S. do often vote against their own best interests. It makes me sad, too.
