Thanks for taking me fishing! Another awesome day on the water!
Of course and thanks for watching 🤙🏻
Woohoo hitting the open ocean thats the way to go. I only put out about 150 to 200 feet when trolling myself but you do whatever works. Great video good action
Uh oh, "meet the family" ... good luck with that! Thanks for the content!
Every time I see your video I tell my wife I want to move to Florida. The fishing looks amazing there.
Just bought your inshore rod. Should be here tmrw. I’ll be using it Saturday for stripers in Massachusetts, hopefully on your finback Shad’s. I can’t wait. Love your channel man
Awesome thanks so much!! I hope you have some fun with it and catch some fish!!!! Tight Lines M S!
Probably one of the best videos I have ever seen….. makes tube on the water and the catches fish with it.
Awesome as always Rich! and that sunscreen at 18:24 ;) good job putting it on though
Hahaha Max 😆. Glad you enjoyed 🤙🏻
when you're back from Brazil, do some bottom fishing. get on the mutton and grouper bite that's going on around here right now. check navionics for easy structure finding. the railroad ties at 80ft hold good fish consistently. nice muttons and mangroves, sometimes grouper. that's a good spot to start out here. drift over and over certain areas and keep drifting. once you find some nice looking bottom that isn't already marked, mark it. use the standard fish finder rig/carolina rig or the trusty snapper rig. drop a live sardine and keep the sinker barely off bottom
Open Other End deal brother.. feed the wire up through the rubber hose instead of trying to slide the hook through. I used to makes those lures by the dozen.
I love when this guy fishes in the sea excellence in the video
I concur with Dylan P.; more Big Boat Fun, nearshore and not to far offshore ! Fun Fact, back in "my day," 1960's early '70's, ON Long Island's South Shore and Montauk, using Surgical Tubing was quite popular. Noted your comment about the "Head Hits" to the "Tube-Fly" (sorry I'm an avid Fly Fisher, ha). We used to Extend the Wire out past the "head" roughly 3" to 5," AND add a HOOK There Too, so the toothy critters couldn't "cheat" ! I used to paint on EYES . . . now-a-days there are so many more options for this - stick ons, dumbbell with eyes, they even have fish-heads. Hmmm, now I'm giving myself ideas ! Adding a "skirt" to either end is another "thing" !. If I'm not mistaken, there ARE differences between Albies and Bonito in the side markings - those two appear to be Albies. There is a (CZcams) Captain out of San Diego (mostly fly fishing around Catalina) and they catch a lot of Bonito (can't recall his name or the name of his 26ft boat !?. Now that I'm moving "your way," from WA. State I'll be re-learning and honing my Salty Ways. Be advised, Brazil can be "intoxicating" ! Been there twice (Navy Unitas Cruises) ! My Chrystal Ball is indicating some subtle Marriage shenanigans . . . a word from "the wiser" . . . But of course, nothing wrong with Love and Marriage with the "right person" ! Take care down there. Would love to see some Fly Fishing, Brazilian Style - Peacock Bass on the Fly ? Does her Dad own a boat ?
we caught a 32lb striper last week in the Long Island Sound trolling with a red eel and a white just like the one your using. 315 yards of line on each side water temps were 85. Produces huge amounts of bluefish too. Tight lines.
I heard the magic word. "Greenies". I ll be down in Fort Pierce soon, right at the jetty soon.
Of course, love the fishing but also your production, editing and shooting. Great edit at 1:11. Really enjoy your work. Thank you.
Bro, When I saw the beginning of your video, I thought you were going out at night! You were up Early! Tight Lines Luv ya videos
Appreciate the quality of your Tube video product!
Hey how are you doing Rich? Just wanted to say really excellent video you put out, I was wildly entertained! Just didn't have any questions this time, but I'm sure I will in the future. Keep doing those new adventures as much as possible, they're really cool. I was watching it with some people that kind of hate fishing or more or less just aren't into it, but they were obviously on the edges of their seat watching the whole time. We really appreciate them! Good luck and God bless!
Hey Dana, I’m good! Hope you are doing well too! I actually just got back from a trip to Brazil which was cool. But I’ll try and keep all the vids coming you all to watch! Tight Lines!
I still have one of your old tubes left. Wish you still made them!
28:37 when you have a big grouper put you in the wreck like that just put it in free spool and give it a couple seconds and there's a good chance that he'll swim out.
Your photography is excellent Rick with the addition of your drone.. It has taken you up mucho levels..Congratulations!!
Thanks so much Robert!!!!!!
I've been fishing tubes tipped with sand worms for striped bass and bluefish in Connecticut for over 20 years.
Yes the first one⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Salute 🤜 🤛
I’m first not you
@@LIamaaaaa dont really matter whos first. What matters is we here
@@LIamaaaaa yea responding but I’m the first like💯🤟🏆❤️🔥👑👊
I'm sure you've covered it in a previous video (from a few years ago) but could you go over your boat set up again? That thing is super sweet and I"m very envious of how you have it kitted out.
Love these deep sea on the boat vids man. I know the gas is a bit too much right now but lets hope u get to do it more often. Tunas n mahi-mahi hopefully.
Dude shut the clicker off.. LOL
Reminds me of those old Montauk tube videos!
Wow awesome video. Tank of a cuda and that Bonita was good sized. Last time when I went offshore we slayed the mahi-mahi. Keep up the amazing content.
That water is crystal clear. I can see all the way to the bottom.
We've been slamming the sails out there this month.
Yea same. Kind of weird for this time of year. Caught 2 in an hour the other day, never happened this time of year before.
Where do you catch those? Just curious. I'm in NH so you won't see me lol
@@blindabinda1234 In Florida you can catch them year round on the Atlantic coast in anywhere from 20-1000+ feet of water. Winter is prime time for numbers of sailfish.
@@RikkiTikkiTavi290 dang I just got back to the states! I may have to try now that I’m back!
My new favorite channel. Love the videos Rich! You should start a side business selling those lures!
You should do more offshore fishing in that boat
Hey thanks Ryan! I’ll try to do a lot more videos like this 🤙🏻
@@FishAholicTV yea those topwater tuna vids were amazing, they reminded me of catching yellowfin tuna on poppers back in 2015
Great action today
I love the Avet reels. Reminds me I need to buy more.
one the coolest and inspiring angler! 🤙🤙
Super sir. Pls share fishing knots video
Потрясающе !
👌
Excellent video
🎣😎🐟
I have recently "discovered " your channel and am enjoying your videos immensely, being just 30 minutes south of you. You motivate me to get out more. I look forward to seeing your future adventures. However I am worried for your safety when you are fishing offshore alone. Please use a kill switch cord when running, and a PFD as well. "Live to fish and fish to live." Emphasis on the "live". Thanks, and stay safe.
Great Video Rich. Salute
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Great video Rich nice gators
Mantap kawan strike ikan monster, salam satu hobby dari indonesia👍🙏
Man you need to have at least 2 hooks on those tube lures. Especially with Cudas!😎
Great day out brother awesome fish, loved the homemade lure. Keep it up brother
Hi Rich. Did you just start using the chest mounted camera? Or have I missed? I think the head mounted one gives a much more immersive feeling, and is one of the things I've really liked about your videos. Maybe because it's closer to the perspective of the eyes. Dunno.
im from bermuda i saw you fishing video in bermuda
You have the perfect boat dude
M’s husband, always fun to watch! Happy 4th!
Awesome. Thanks!
Awesome video man… Thnk u….tried going out today but it was rough and nasty…🙁
Videos are just better and better love all the drone shots
You should do some more vertical jigging that’s my favorite thing to do when I go off shore
Just getting some trolling setups for stripers off cape cod. How would you recommend setup, line etc?
Another one of the greats, love the video! Keep up the great work! Fish on 🎣
Awesome video
Great video Rich. Keep em coming.
Luar biasa 🤙
Let’s go fishing sometime brotha in fort pierce or Stuart or something I’ll throw down for bait and gas
Ya might wanna go smaller mesh on the net and let the ones ya don't want go.
If ya go bigger then you risk gillin slightly older and larger bait fish just like what is happenin now.
Muito top suas pescarias 🎉
You must cam to blue lagoon in Durban
Good
Woot woot another video
W video! What bait would you recommend for bobber fishing off a dock?
Saltwater or fresh? What are you going for?
The lure is like Red tube you used off Montauk
Congrats on 179k subs!
I'm only 13 and I went to Fiji last November cus I'm Aussie and caught a 40 inch barracuda as my first
Good video
We're gonna need a bigger net.
I have some questions lol
1. Would t it have been easier to push the wire up from the bottom of the tube?
2. Isn’t there some kind of worm that hatched out there about this time of year? I went in a charter couple years ago in Key West and my guide had this long green worm looking lure. I made a joke about “that’s what guides give to clients who try to guide the guide” lol but I saw a video about a worm hatch or maybe I dreamed that I dunno. I think about fishing a lot
worm hatch yes. but the tube lures don't mimic that. the tube represents a needle fish and for some reason barracuda just get super pissed when they see it
most of the time, the worm hatch is only beneficial to tarpon fishing in the keys since they'll feed on them
@@gordonhobbis9113 ok thank you! I live in Kansas, I know nothing about fishing in the ocean. I’ve done 2 charters, for pelagic and tarpon. It just amazes me y’all catch fish without tree stumps to throw at lol
@@CharlieDexter99 well pelagics dont need any structure thankfully, theyre always around down here
Hey Rich, I'm an Eastern Long Island native and I spend a lot of time in West Palm Beach and fish both places heavily. Looking to get a boat soon and your setup looks nice. What kind of boat/motor is this?
love to see it
You got some premium gear! What size are your Avets?
Greta stuff man!
maybe next time, put the tube on the wire before tying the hook?
Your boat looks very well designed and equipped. What is it?
need to learn the palomar knot instead of unit! way stronger, easy to tie on larger hook sets
Where to buy tubing and wire?
I have made those lures It has been a very long time ago.
Sir you should put this yellow bat before putting hooks 🪝
that bara would be legal in california, limit 10, 28 inch or more.
They're toxic over here. ciguatera.
@@gordonhobbis9113 o wow
@@denverharleman8045 yeah, filet and eat one and you'll be shitting your brains out for a few days
When are you coming to montalk I really ant to meet you becuse I know captain dan
what type of boat do you have?
Anyone know what boat he has? Good video as always.
What type of boat is that?
When are you heading Northeast?
greetings friends, may you always be successful and all your affairs will be made easy, amen
Rich
so about six months ago I asked you if you were planning on being in Montauk this summer,, I don't think you gave me an answer,, but I realize that there is no reason for you to evr come to Montauk,,,,,, for a second I wondered if you were going to work on the charter boats,,,,,,,and then I wondered if you were going to do charters with your new boat,,,,,,,,,,, so I guess the answer is that you might do charters but not in Montauk,, right?
damn its chill af to watch yo vids while being high, especially when you randomly start to build a lure out of some wire and rubber pipe that actually catches good ! keep up the good work man
We can tell you no longer live in the northeast when you call False Albies, Bonita.
Greenies and pilchards are the same thing
Damn my man got a Brazilian girl, you know what though .. they are extremely beautiful loyal, and take care of their men
No Twizzlers this time?
Cuda!
One of the first ayeeee
More easier the other way around????
Fish don't like boats because they can feel and the frequencies coming from the radar and ect
