What products did you put in the hair before you curled it? Also did you blow the hair out b4? What would you say for someone that has extremely fine and thin hair, this style did not work when I did it in them?

I've got waist length hair, but my hair is so flat at the root-can anyone suggest a good root boost for this style? Ive tried rollers, dry shampoo , hairspray etc. I think my hair is just too heavy which drags the roots down :(
Lol right after I chopped off another 10in of my hair! I could do this still with my much shorter hair (about 2 in past shoulder), but not as fun.

This actually reminds me of this one hair curler that had heat on one side and flame retardant brush bristles on the other end and it came with an instructional DVD. 😃😄

For some reason this didn’t get achieved on my client, the waves fell out right away and did not even form that shape
This has happened to me before the only way that I was able to solve. It was by spraying a medium hold hairspray on the hair before and after. pinning it also might help it set.

What is with these stylists doing a flat spiral to get this look... it ends up falling flat and looking spirally... not glamorous... and then there's that front spiral...I mean if that's the look you're going for then great, but I do not associate a flat spiral with Hollywood waves.
I think that’s what they’re going for because when you do a vintage wet set with rollers or pin curls you’re not supposed to twist the hair.
