THIS IS A DEEPER LOOK AT THE ONEWIND HAMMOCK UNDERQUILT AND UNDERQUILT BLANKET I AM NOW CAMPING WITH TO FIND WHERE TO BUY A HAMMOCK LIKE THIS GO TO AMAZON AND SEARCH FOR ONEWIND HAMMOCKS
Walking in high cotton now! I live in a similar climate in Texas, which is just another reason I like your channel so much as I can relate more than I can to the east cast and PNW channels.
Hello Blackie, now you know what I want for Christmas, 😂😂 JK. Thank you for sharing this video on another awesome piece of gear, much appreciated. Have a wonderful week ahead, take care and keep your camera rolling. God bless you and your Family always. 🇺🇸🔥☕️👼🏻👼🏻
I really like the looks of that system Blackie. I can see the merit in that snap in blanket/liner for sure. When I went over to Sweden I left 95 degree days at home and jumped right into low 40's at night which was AMAZING but my body wasn't quite used to it. 80% of my load out was my hammock, tarp, under quilt and sleep gear and clothing. Outside of that I needed very little. Getting a good nights sleep is essential to have a good outing for me. If you find a system that gives you that good sleep in each season, it's golden. For me a good hammock set up gives me that and much more. I look forward to seeing how it does for you in the season to come. Take care brother!
I've got the OneWind XL after watching one of your videos, I've also got something that I guess they stopped making the OneWind wind sock. I've yet to get to use it because it's for colder weather and it's yet to be cold enough to deploy. I kinda wish you had gotten one too so I could see how to set it up, they kept selling out and I was lucky enough to get it and the next hour it was sold out. I will be investing in the top quilt too
Looks comfortable but does seem like a lot of work to get setup. But I guess a little work is a lot better than being cold at night while your trying to sleep. Good video Blackie
I had to get both the under and overquilts, the old hammock setup I have is heavy.Damn sleeping bag alone is near 4lbs.And it's by a well known hammock company.Still gonna keep it but,for bikepacking I need something lighter and more practical y'know?Plus I love the color of olive drab, and yeah the price tag ain't so bad either.Subbed!
Hey Blackie quick question is that the 66" x 47" underquilt? Or is it the 83" x 52"? Thanks so much for showing this off thats got to be the best thought out system I have seen in a long time.
I understand if you dont want to answer this question but what type of sidearm do you carry in bear country, and by that I mean black powder or something more modern?
I love how many items now are sold without any form of instruction, and even if they are, they're written by computers in some foreign country with no concept of how the human mind visualizes moving parts. Having said that, this hammock rocks...
Like you, I like the OD green. I recently purchased through OneWind’s website their long underquilt and blanket in OD green. In listening to one of your videos speaking to Stitched Gear as a distributor I saw the 126x68 in OD Green, received it and found it to be the 120x68 😕. Stitched Gear is trying to get a hold of OneWind to find out since it was incorrectly advertised on their site. I’m 6’4” and was trying to find the longest possible. Is yours 126x68? If so how did you find it? Thanks
You should! i am very impressed with the whole set i bought every piece and is was way cheaper than just a hammock from some other sites and to my knowledge no other hammock is rated to 1000 lbs like the one wind is i have used mine down to 17 with no regrets
Just mine in today, the ridge line was only connected on 1 side buckle, how do you connect it to the opposite buckle? You video shows it coming out of bag then next it’s up, this step was missed or skipped... thanks
ok on my hammock there is a buckle on both ends of the hammock..i attach the strap to the tree and then thread the end thru the buckle..then i walk to the other tree and repeat same operation
Blackie you should set up an Amazon account where we can purchase the items you recommend and you can draw a small commission. It wouldn't cost us any more and if we purchase off of your recommendation - you deserve the small commission. I know you wouldn't be recommending anything that didn't hit your high mark for safety and reliability. Just my thought. You owe it to yourself to capture that which is available - especially when it won't cost your channel members any money.
I hope a year later you still think as highly of this system as you did in the beginning. Because I just sprung for this (wife is gonna kill me). Fortunately I can tell her I got mine for 20% off because of a Black Friday Sale. She'd understand that..Ohhh on SALE. She's a good little camper.
Nice review but all that shooting in the background .. ruins the peace hammocks are associated with ! Guns and hunting ... not nice things or pursuits but seem popular in the states .. such a shame .
I like that system and color. I also like how the under quilt and blanket work. Thanks for sharing.
Looks good Blackie. Thanks for showing us. I hear ya as far as temperature change goes. Take care.

Great looking system

That's awesome for my pet elephant lol pretty cool though
For storage and transport can you leave the blanket liner attached to the underquilt and just deploy them both at the same time?

[Question] Sir, do they actually make a 4 season hammock?
What size is your hammock? I'm big and trying to decide single or double.

Please don't wear camouflage. It makes it difficult to see you.
