This video hits a particular nerve for me. Growing up you could say I stood out in my high-school. I came from a rough family, I was tall, had a different ethnicity and did not always show up to school because of circumstances at home. But I did my a-levels and was one of the best students in my year. Nevertheless, when a man was assaulted in front of the school and I fit the description, my school forwarded my information to the police. I had never fought or gave any indication that I was violent. It made me realize that some people, no matter what you do , will always just see what is at the surface. Nowadays this would be unacceptable. But in the 90's small town middle of nowhere it was just another day that I somehow had to deal with myself.
I literally cheered when the camera panned back and the Black man was a cop. Never saw it coming... Then the skinhead saving the guy's life. I all but lost it. Fucking phenomenal video.
She is such a talent. When I first heard about Robyn and alighted on this video I experienced goosebumps. This is my favorite song of hers. Dream on everyone..
