I have an honest question: didn't Jesus know there would be a separation from his Father on the cross? If he did know, why did ask "why"?

isn't HE teaching an exemplary life to live ? did you ever say those words ? wasn't he asking to become like HIM ?

Fulfilling Scripture. But that doesn't negate from the pain and separation.
