I love how busted this format is.
Imagine seeing mana drain, oko and brainstorm in the same deck
all as 4ofs.... that's not possible even in vintage.... ahhaha

Seems like with ponder and ancestral recall as well in the format it would be just too much card selection for 1 mana… I dunno.

@31:29, do you have some strategies for building 3 or 4 colour mana bases with fetch lands?
For EDH and other less fetch intensive formats: [0] I just count up pips for each colour. [1] use these those as rough densities to figure out lands. [2] only then find tune using a hypergeometric probability calculator to understand edge cases (e.g. maybe a deck regularly needs 3 blue pips on turn 3 and thats your only concern if you put in a land which invalidates your turn 3 plays)
Maybe this is topic you can explore, balancing Historic vs Timeless mana bases, from initial impressions.
Mana drain also combos with valki allowing you to cast tibalt early
Oko seems to have gotten better with all these new blue cards. Like resolving and keeping Oko is sometimes just enough.
Im not sure adding Gaea's blessing is the play even as a 1 of due to the addition of surgical extraction.
I would argue that it'd be legit if we had one of the eldrazi that shuffled back because of the prevalence of show and tell.
Mill should definitely be prepared for Gaea's with surgical and almost expecting it at this point.
Would target other sideboard cards to deal with the mill matchup personally.
I've been seeing some really iffy hands from my opponents as well. I don't understand what they were expecting to happen when they kept it.
some people swear by never mulliganing 😅
As the player in game one, kept that hand because my six year old was in need of attention. Honestly, don’t think it would have mattered even if I had the nuts.
