I just got a Chinese knockoff of that tool. I already have the non pass through Klein crimper but I needed to redo a couple of network cables the rats chewed up so I was going to cut the bad part out, put a few ends on and use a coupler so I didn't have to replace the bad runs. It was prime day and there was a sale on a hundred jar of network plus, but I realized when I got them they were pass through. So I ordered a crimp tool pass through tool kit that had the crimper, cable tester, stripping tool, and 25 RJ45 plugs, for 20 bucks. I could have saved some money if I'd known and would been all set in one pass cheap. I already had some really nice coupler jacks. The hard part was getting everything lined up right and fed into the jack but I managed and it was getting easier after the first few. Everything works again and I have some copper mesh jammed into the hole the wad of network cables feed through that was already there for the TV coax when I bought the house. I wanted to add another camera and one of the repaired cables was over 10 feet too long so I was able to pull the leftover wire enough to plug straight into the the security NVR and use the leftover length of cable that I had put ends on was enough extra to run to the other end of the house and it gave me enough extra cable with the leftover coupler to hook up the new camera, a win win for me😎 Now I need to eventually get some cat6 so I can build cables as I need them now that I have all the tools. I spose I could get a punch down tool and I could start putting proper network jacks in the walls too. The cheap crimper works great, reviews were good, and it looks almost identical to the Klein you have now.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on people complaining about the klein pass through crimper not trimming off pins 1 and 8 each time? And also issues with pins touching and shorting on PoE? Please dont use the crimpers to remove the jacket. They can nick the conducters inside. I can see that the tool went all the way through the jacket. Buy a separate tool with an adjustable blade that will lightly score the jacket. The "kevlar string" is technically called a RIP CORD. Its only function is to rip the jacket, it does not add any strength to the wire. The "catch" is actually called a "strain relief".
I've never had an issue with nicking the conductors below the jacket with these. They are awesome! I did a video on this issue but had a very difficult time trying to nick it. Thanks my friend. czcams.com/video/kjMoHP04gm4/video.html

Hey i actually ran into this issue but with cat6 that has a separtor/spline. with regular cat6 it worked like a charme!
Can't adjust the blade depth. Used it once and threw it away.
