- «Chicago» is a serviceman of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakiv Handziuk. On February 24, he took his first battle. Part of his unit was surrounded by Russians near Oleshky. The soldiers had to wait for tanks to come with their aid. Then the 59th suffered a lot of losses.
«I do not even know what I felt at that moment. The only thing, when Russian aviation flew over me, then I understood that this was not the «Call of duty», and it was impossible to save your life here and recover later», says «Chicago».
Currently his unit has returned to the places where the events of February 24 unfolded. Now the Ukrainian army kicks the occupiers out of Kherson region. How the 59th is now defending the outskirts of the city - in the report of hromadske.
