      Hi. What do you recommend for a single mom of three? Just Dot 43 just came back. I want to go to school and care for my children. If I go active can they come with me once I’m done with basic and AIT? Or should I just do reserves?

    Thank you for this! I have a question, I know you can take your children. But i rather they stay with their grandparents here in LA where I live then taking them where I’m stationed at due to my children being special needs and I only trust my family to watch them. Do you think that’s a bad idea? Will I be gone to long from them if I was active ? Would love your feedback !

    • @kyonnap_
      @kyonnap_  Pƙed rokem +2

      Hey girl thank you for watching! The Army has an Exceptional Family Membership Program. They’ll be the ones that assist you with any special needs family members. As far as if you should bring them or let them stay there will be entirely based on what makes sense for you. But Atleast do your research before making a final decision. There are a few youtubers that have children so I would try to reach out to them as well if you don’t know anyone military people personally

    can I use the bonus to rent apartment off base as single enlisted

    • @kyonnap_
      @kyonnap_  Pƙed rokem +2

      Having a bonus doesn’t mean anything. The only way you’re getting an apartment as a single enlisted soldier is if you have dependents or your barracks are filled and they get you out on a CNA packet. I know it sucks

      No. I have never deployed and I’ve been in the U.S. Army for 7 years and 11 months now. I have six days left in the IRR of my 8 year term. I started active duty though but I trained in the field probably 10 times. One of them was a NATO mission in Poland. That took 17 days there and back. I remember.

      @@kyonnap_ since I’ve been in army, meddac was only known for having pretty decent b’s and some other stuff but never the crazy parties. The one time I was in meddac, the 1st yr the b’s was on point, the 2nd yr people started pcsing & us that were still there got moved out (cause we were all single e5’s in the b’s at the time) and started getting bah, so the parties were now at someone house.

    Hold up - you have to be E6+, or marry, to live out of the barracks? Sounds like its more of living in an large apt bldg setting (as opposed to college dorms)- where you don't know your neighbors or who lives there. People live there, but not really there to make /know neighbors. Also - sounds like one has to enjoy being by yourself- which is a whole topic in itself. Sending a virtual hug.đŸ€—
