Some excellent advice I got about multiple kids (boys in my case) sharing a room, was to use the biggest room in the house to house them. So simple, yet perfect.
I had been stuck on the idea that the largest bedroom went to the head of the house, but since the kids' space is already reduced by sharing a room, using the largest room to give them as much personal space as possible, made so much sense.
I thank that leasing agent still today (it was 7 years ago) for suggesting that to me.
Same here. I gave them my master bed & bath. Makes so much since.
That is a great idea. I grew up like that. There were three of us in the same room (two girls, one boy). My parents put all three of our beds in the master bedroom and it worked great.
Of course, that was the only logical way to get those mattresses out. 😂😂😂 Too sweet.
I know I said this before your girls are so lucky to have a mother like you. Their room is absolutely adorable. The stencils on the feature wall are awesome. I've been trying to think of how to update my toddler's room on a budget, and I never even thought of stencils! Yours turned out great!
The room looks good. I really like the stenciling. The patterns are large and not too busy. I also like the shade of pink you used. It's subtle, so it's not overwhelming, and the fact that you put the stenciling on a white background instead of making all four walls pink, adds to room's beauty.

You did a great job on their room. I love the name posters, the stencil and the window benches. I was on pins-n-needles to see how you got 3 beds in there but I see you used a trundle for one; good idea. I think it's nice that they all want to be together right now. I would like to see you do more room decorations/makeovers as you move through the house.

Hi that is gorgeous. You are a great mom. I loved watching your girls slide down the stairs. We used pillows at my Grand mother's house and she would fuss at us." you better not be sliding down my stairs". Then we would run over to her vacant apartment next door and slide down those instead. She had a town house duplex. Pretty cool.

P.s. I agree w one of the comments below about bunk beds. My mom raised my sister & I in a small 2 bedroom apt right outside Manhattan. Her being another example of an amazing momma, she gave us the master bedroom. We had those 80’s style bunk beds (top bed was horizontal & bottom came out vertical). It even had a built in full desk on the side! A traditional bunk bed & one twin would work great for your girls. I’m not judging at all. Just reminded me of growing up in a room w my sister & loved climbing the ladder at night! All in all, you did such an incredible job...especially on the stencil work! 🤘

Just a sweet memory. 💜 I agree bunks would be better but, unfortunately, my husband fell out of a top bunk when he was young and broke his arm and shoulder so he is VERY against getting them for the girls. My suspicion, knowing my husband and how his mom describes his shenanigans as a child, is that he was being silly on the top and doing sometime he shouldn't to which caused this accident 😂 But still, in trying to honor his wishes I didn't push too hard on getting them bunk beds. It would give them sooooo much more space though! Thanks so much for watching!

Essie McCall we were planning to split them up but the girls decided they wanted to stay together. The oldest said she would miss her sisters and didn’t want a separate room after all, so we put them together for now. I’m sure this desire to be together all the time won’t last forever 😂 so I decided to indulge them for now. It’s sweet to see how much they love each other 💜
I love your creativity! I use the long totes made for wrapping paper to store shoes under the bed. They fit perfectly.

Bunk beds or loft beds are also a very good space saver. There used to be 5 of is in one room a little smaller in size. Two bunk beds.

Not sure if someone said this already but you could put some of their “stuff” in one of the other rooms. My sister had 5+ children and she had a separate playroom/library to avoid overcrowding and distractions in a room where they sleep.

You could put a lower and upper hanging bar between the bookshelf and the wall and use it for dress up/make believe clothes maybe? You could just use tension rods so easily removable if it doesn’t work.

When I was young in our house burnt we had to move to a two bedroom house and my mom got bunk beds for the four of us and we just made it work

The stencilled wall is great, the room is beautiful, not too pink! Lovely decor and lots of storage. The built in wardrobe is good for clothes. We had bunk beds when mine were younger to save space. Now have messy teenagers.

You did a stellar job! I shared a room with my younger sisters and we are super close to this day. Everything looks beautiful. I can't believe how those ikea shelves worked out. You couldn't have planned that any better. I was so impressed I decided to give you a follow. My mother purchased some small trunks with comes lids I still have mine and it's made out of a strong cardboard. Anyway, each one of us could put our prized possessions inside and no one was allowed to play or open another's trunk on an honor system 😄 that helped to give us a spot just our own. The trunk is like 20"x 15" and I keep all the cards from my children and family inside it now. We kept them at the end of our beds. You are a wonderful and thoughtful mother and your girls are adorable.
