I love Filter and it's definitely super polished and sexy but it's definitely one of Jimin's most chill choreos haha. His other two solos Serendipity and Lie show off his technique way more. I would love to see Lindsey break them down! He's definitely one of the most versatile dancers in the industry. Brian Puspos choreographed Serendipity and you can see him watching and commenting on it on the Steezy channel in their Jimin reaction video 😊 he choreographed Butterfly for BTS as well!
Yes, the Steezy one with Brian Puspos where they comment on Jimin's dancing. I am so interested in her reaction to their reaction of Jimin. I love choreography and a dancer's POV of Jimin. I think he's fantastic, but I'm not a dancer. The other one I would love her to watch is Black Swan MV and Jimin's behind the scenes shoot as it is all him dancing. I love watching him!!! Filter's lyrics are a play on how fans project different filters on him and see him the way they want to instead of the way he really is hence the different outfit changes showing his different personas. It's one of my favorite songs off MOTS for sure 😊

Which is another really cheeky and smart move on their part - once again proving with the song itself how fans choose to focus on and only take notice of the artist the way *they* want to see them. In this situation just seeing Jimin as flirting and ignoring the depth of the song.
I think this song can be very tongue-in-cheek and self aware, just like our beloved Jimin. But of course in the MOTS7 journey of the psyche, Filter falls on the darker side of the road to self acceptance.

jimin is a contemporary dancer, that's why his movements and hands look so delicate, if you want to see more of how brilliant he is in contemporary I recommend you to watch the music video of black swan and his live performance of his solo song serendipity (a beautiful r&b song.)
Actually Jimin was trained in street/hip hop and contemporary/modern dance before BTS. He spent more time learning hip hop than contemporary/modern dance. I wish people would get this right!
Jimin said in an interview that he practiced so much because he was not experienced in the dance moves they do and it was quite difficult to master after taking ballet and modern dance 🕺
@@myouniverse0613 Jimin actually learned hip hop/ Street first whe he was younger, then when he entered Busan Art Academy (Hopefully that's the right name) he became the top student in the dance department. I thought I heard that he said he trained in contemporary for only a year or year and a half. My memory is a bit fuzzy on that but he left there when he joined Big Hit. It doesn't seem like a long time for him to be as good as he is. I think it's a testament to his hard work and hours of practice. I also feel he was born to dance.
Jimin is one of the unique artists of our time, I would say I don't know anyone at his level. He is a very versatile person. He is amazing and very talented. And its beauty is indescribable
Speaking of thread mill, they sing while on a thread mill to strengthen their lung capacity to be able to sing live while dancing without sounding out-of-breath. They also practice their choreography while singing and wearing face/flu mask for the same reason. BTS are the greatest performers alive! Also, Jimin is a contemporary/modern dance major and is the top in the whole department.
For me Jimin is first of all a dancer. He worked a lot, and continues to work on his voice his singing, but he started years after dance. As a child he went to clases, academies to study different hip-hop styles but also different martial arts, so the control over his body, the discipline, and then the elegance in movement he had and showed more of when he chosed contemporary dance as speciality. ❤️Jimin

So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much.

Perhaps (?) it might be OK if those others were mentioned, once, in an end summary -- that they "used to do" similar moves, but comparing all through any BTS performance seems to diminish their creativity and talent. As SUGA said, " *We want to be the BTS of the 21st century.* " Also, Australian Shepherds are my favorite breed. I had 2 great show quality dogs. But the reactions to BTS would be less distracting and broken up if yours would sit patiently during filmings.
Jimin is an amazing dancer and performer, and Filter is by far one of the most creative choreographies that's really entertaining from beginning to end. It's also cool whether you hear it from others or not that when you see him move you see the influence and smoothness from the king of pop but also from his training as a dancer that makes him extraordinary. MJ's nephew Taj Jackson who's also a fan of BTS praised Jimin and also found a resemblance of Jimin with his uncle and I could say that didn't surprised anyone that much lol, but there's honestly no telling how much damage Jimin can do in the future with his songs and solo performances. He's only getting started, so hopefully you check out more from him and his bro's!

There was no costume change. He decided it wouldn't work the way he wanted it to so they prerecorded it. You can clearly see the cut and he's not wearing the same detachable outfit as in the behind the scenes video

they actually decided not to do the quick change after that rehearsal bc the 2 sets of clothes were too heavy for him to dance and sing in (they talk about it during rehearsal) so they filmed part of this performance separate
There is a brand new Introduction to BTS Members that’s been updated to 2022. It’s done by Taylor Nakamoto and it still states “Draft” status, but it’s only because she’s left it open to suggestions since it’s new. It’s by far the best out there and different from the older ones. Please have Lindsey react to it so she can learn about the members. Also, I suggest Jimin’s 2019 MMA performance. This was great, thank you both 🙏💜 Yes, Jimin is trained, he did popping/locking/ hip hop in middle school, and went to an arts high school where he was the top student in contemporary dance - and he also did a few different martial arts for many years (Taekwondo, Kendo, Hapkido) - this is maybe why he is so versatile, fluid, and powerful…He became a kpop trainee at the age of 16 and debuted with BTS at 17, so this was all as a youngster. He only had one year of training, and he had not sung before becoming a trainee - and yes, you are right, he has mentioned working really hard on improving his voice… It’s also interesting that you mention Chris Brown - In the early BTS days, Jimin mentioned him as an influence 😂🤷♂️
Actually, he entered as the top student in his entire school because he not only had great dancing skills but top grades in other subjects (I don't know why so many poeple confuse this, but yeah). He was so good at studying, his parents wanted to send him to a science school.
Not sure if anyone else has commented this but the major costume change is a camera cut. This performance was pre-recorded for their Map Of The Soul ON:E online concert held in October 2020 during the pandemic. Jimin really wanted to do the full costume change on stage but they couldn't get it fast enough for that section of the song so they recorded to that point, then picked up again after the costume change. All of this is explained in their making of/behind the scenes video for that concert.
His dance is another level of performance, Jimin is always innovating and creating art with his dance. I love Filter and this performance complements it perfectly. It should be noted that his voice has unique and beautiful nuances. Thank you for reacting to this video.

Omg! Jimin is a huge fan of Chris Brown actually! 😂 Edit: the part where he changes his clothes is pre recorded. At the beginning, he was going to have the red suit underneath the black one but there were so many clothes that Jimin would end up exhausted every time he rehearsed. He didn’t want that to happen on the real concert (Jimin is a perfectionist). That’s why he decided to prerecord that part. That’s why the camera angle changes like that. And V is not the leader, he is the sub vocalist. RM is the leader and main rapper of the group. Jimin is the main dancer (alongside j-Hope) and lead vocalist
V/Tae isn't a sub vocalist, he's a lead vocalist and he, relatively recently, joined the Dance Line after Singularity. HOBI/J-HOPE is a sub vocalist, as well as a lead rapper, main dancer, and dance captain

Just bcs V is not a main or a lead, it doesn’t mean he is bad, he is really good but the others literally have backgrounds like jk when it comes to singing or Jimin and Jhope when it comes to dancing. I agree about checking out the lyrics/meaning. I've seen a number of dancer's reactions to BTS vids where they don't have the captions or lyric translations so they are commenting on the choreography without knowing that specific moves are telling the story of the lyrics/song so they are completely missing out on half of the meaning.

Hey Lindsey :) Jimin was trained in hip hop and contemporary before Bts and he also did a lot of Martial Arts. So that's some of the different influences you see in his dancing. There is actually a different camera angle of this performance that focuses more on the whole body so you see the foot work and hand movements more. 2 dances that amazed me the most of Jimin was hes solo at the 2019 MMA awards, and the black swan solo dance he did in one of the online concerts. It blew my mind and I could feel the feelings he was expressing and dancing has never moved me like that before. Jk is my bias so I admire hes powerful dance moves, Jimin hes graceful and expressive dance and then Hobi i always felt has so much swag in his dance it feels like its part of his limbs lol💜💜💜
The other day performance of Filter has a wider shot and you can see his feet better. Jimin was trained as a contemporary dancer and was considered the best dancer at his school for the Arts. You should see his contemporary from Black swan (concert video), it would make your cry. Jimin majored in contemporary in high school and also had training in popping and other dance style throughout his middle school. What’s more he has few martial arts disciplines under his belt too, so incorporates everything in his dancing. As for vocals I always feel the energy flow through me when he sings
Last weekend BTS had their 1st concert in Seoul in 2 years. A month ago, Jimin had his Appendix removed. SURGERY!!!! You should have seen his high kicks during the concert. He didn't miss an Inch. My guess is he was kicking 6 ft high easily. It was amazing. The man danced like he hadn't been through surgery. I'm thinking at least 2 weeks to heal and then dancing? What? It was amazing to watch. He's such a PRO!
He had his appendix that did not burst removed, which is an extremely simple surgery (one that barely even leaves a scar) and he had no complications. Most people can be back to normal activities within a couple days. Even when Suga's appendix burst and he had an infection after his surgery, he was still back on schedule within a couple weeks. Let's not dramatize a situation.
@@dl7596 It’s just silly though. It’s idolization to an obsessive level. Anyone with this surgery would be back to normal life in the time period Jimin was. Why are you “appreciating” him for it? It’s weird and borderline spreading propaganda. By writing that this is “amazing”, when it is normal behavior, people are making his surgery out to be more than it was. And people take that with them. If they even see someone else with appendicitis, they are going to be deathly afraid because the fandom acted like Jimin was like going to die or be ill for a long period of time. Spreading strange and false information about a VERY common medical issue isn’t okay. That’s the issue. If Jimin wasn’t acting completely back to normal by now, it would be incredibly strange. Saying he’s “amazing” for it is weird.

If I want to use the word "Amazing" I will. If I want to say positive things about Jimin, I will. Nobody said he had a ruptured appendix. Google says 2 weeks: How long does it take for appendicitis to heal? "So the appendicitis recovery time is about 24 hours to 6 weeks depending on certain circumstances. You can return to normal activities in a couple of weeks."

Loved to see this response! I agree with some of the other commenters that Day 2 of this performance was a little better, but that costume change at the end still blows my mind. (And yes, Blake, shame on you, this is Jimin's solo piece. 🤣 Also, RM is the leader, not V.) And it may be a little distracting when you're watching the choreo, but there ARE subtitles available on most of their MVs, if you want to know what they're saying. Their lyrics are really amazing. Especially with Filter-- the costume changes go hand-in-hand with the lyrics ("Mix the colors in the palette, pick your filter / Which me do you want? / To change your world, I'm your filter / Overlay me in your heart")
This video definitely shows Jimins duality , if you didn't know Jimin and saw his vlives or interviews or the run bts shows you can see is actually a bit shy, very sweet , can be a bit sassy, but but him on stage and this sexy force of nature comes out. So yeah this a great video that shows that. Also with the costume change I thought maybe it was stopped he changed then started up again but I actually saw yesterday how he does it in rehearsal and how he did struggle with the change but it was amazing how hard he works. Jimin always has struggled with confidence he is much better now but he didn't think he had a great voice and struggled early on to find that confidence he has now. Anyway thanks for the reaction it was great.
Filter is sexy but lie & serendipity choreographies are mind blowing specially lie, queen lie was such a personal song with crazy choreography but nobody can pull off like park jimin. Lie choreography has been covered by so many kpop idols & main dancers, bcuz it's that much amazing. But please if ever you gonna react to lie please react to soeul concert lie performances bcuz unlike serendipity lie stage mix didn't do justice to that freaking amaizing choreography. ❤️❤️❤️
Bedore becoming a trainee; Jimin was a top student in Modern Dance at Busan High School of Arts. There is an interview with his old teacher that even speaks about how serious Jimin was with getting his body in shape and how she had never seen a kid his age with the muscle tone he had developed. His core strength is also unbelievable if you ever catch some of the backstage videos where he starts doing the matrix move of leaning back he can get his back almost parallel to the floor with out using his hands. He is just an amazing Dancer and his singing is just wow! He is a very high tenor. Jimin has the highest out of all BTS, it is said he starts around an E4 and peaks around a C#5 in his chest / mixed chest range (I sometimes wonder if he could go even higher). I have also read where he sings naturally at about 5 to 6 notes higher than the average man. To put it in perspective, the average tenor I believe usually peaks around note G4 for chest.

He studied contemporary dance you even see him sometimes in the classic ballet pose. In one of their performance's of Black Swan Joonkook picks him up in the classic Ballet pose. At the same school he part of Contemporary dance was Jazz and Ballet and he was top of all his classes. He also danced hip hop so yes he's multi talented dancers and he'll put his martial arts training into some of his routines as well.
I love watching Jimin dancing because you can always tell when his background in contemporary shines through because of how smooth certain moves look ❤
He’s such a versatile dancer but yet he’s Jimin. He utilises the various styles he’s learned plus his martial arts background to create his own style. He’s such a versatile dancer. Mj’s nephew Taj Jackson said that Jimin reminds him a lot of MJ. Even in group dances, he always gives his own little subtle flair to it and makes it his own. He also has the most amazing angelic voice that just draws you in.

There's a lift in his live performance of Lie that amazes me. When wearing my headphones, I can hear his vocals better during live performances and he is actually singing through part of that lift. While Filter is a flirty performance, Lie is all about conflicted emotions and he nails it. It's another impressive Jimin moment that you guys might want to share.💜

Jimin is so amazingly talented, and as BTS wants to be known as BTS and not as other talented artists, even the Beatles, I hope you get to where you don’t look for influences of MJ, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, but see it as original BTS. Because they’ve been at it over a decade and have more than earned it.
Jimin was trained in hip hop/ street dance and contemporary/ modern dance ( at 4 to 5 years combined training ) before he became a member of BTS. Jimin and Hobie are the Main dancers in BTS which are the highest ranking dance positions available in Kpop. Jimin is also the only lead vocalist in BTS which is the second highest vocal position in Kpop ( Jungkook is the main/ highest ranked in the group ). Jimin's Filter is referring to the artist becoming what the fans want to please their appetite. He flirts with the fans idea of who they want him to be by providing a mirage of some sort for their imaginations to be satisfied pulling them deeper into many fictional characters. Filter is all about the seduction of illusion that fans ask for and the artist loves to provide. Jimin is a brilliant performer and once you Jim-in you can't ( for real, no joke ) Jim-out😜! So glad you like this performance; I wish you could have seen the full body version of this performance. Note: anytime you watch a dance performance or vocal performance please look up the English translation of the song to have a 💯 x more enjoyable experience.
I'm thinking she should review his Black Swan dance break or the pre dance before the Asian award show where he is in all white. Jimin, from my understanding, training is in modern dance and ballet.

Fun fact: They totally took advantage of this being an online concert, and pre-recorded this instead of doing it live. Which means that his last outfit change was actually done off camera, and then recorded. Just a little bit of BTS illusion trick. They revealed this in the behind the scenes of the concert, because Jimin said he couldn't dance well with too many layers on. He did try hard to do it live, but decided to prerecord instead.

I love Filter and it's definitely super polished and sexy but it's definitely one of Jimin's most chill choreos haha. His other two solos Serendipity and Lie show off his technique way more. I would love to see Lindsey break them down! He's definitely one of the most versatile dancers in the industry. Brian Puspos choreographed Serendipity and you can see him watching and commenting on it on the Steezy channel in their Jimin reaction video 😊 he choreographed Butterfly for BTS as well!

Filter's lyrics are a play on how fans project different filters on him and see him the way they want to instead of the way he really is hence the different outfit changes showing his different personas. It's one of my favorite songs off MOTS for sure 😊

Which is another really cheeky and smart move on their part - once again proving with the song itself how fans choose to focus on and only take notice of the artist the way *they* want to see them. In this situation just seeing Jimin as flirting and ignoring the depth of the song.
I think this song can be very tongue-in-cheek and self aware, just like our beloved Jimin. But of course in the MOTS7 journey of the psyche, Filter falls on the darker side of the road to self acceptance.

jimin is a contemporary dancer, that's why his movements and hands look so delicate, if you want to see more of how brilliant he is in contemporary I recommend you to watch the music video of black swan and his live performance of his solo song serendipity (a beautiful r&b song.)
Actually Jimin was trained in street/hip hop and contemporary/modern dance before BTS. He spent more time learning hip hop than contemporary/modern dance. I wish people would get this right!
Jimin said in an interview that he practiced so much because he was not experienced in the dance moves they do and it was quite difficult to master after taking ballet and modern dance 🕺

I thought I heard that he said he trained in contemporary for only a year or year and a half. My memory is a bit fuzzy on that but he left there when he joined Big Hit. It doesn't seem like a long time for him to be as good as he is. I think it's a testament to his hard work and hours of practice. I also feel he was born to dance.
Jimin is one of the unique artists of our time, I would say I don't know anyone at his level. He is a very versatile person. He is amazing and very talented.

Speaking of thread mill, they sing while on a thread mill to strengthen their lung capacity to be able to sing live while dancing without sounding out-of-breath. They also practice their choreography while singing and wearing face/flu mask for the same reason. BTS are the greatest performers alive!
Also, Jimin is a contemporary/modern dance major and is the top in the whole department.

For me Jimin is first of all a dancer. He worked a lot, and continues to work on his voice his singing, but he started years after dance. As a child he went to clases, academies to study different hip-hop styles but also different martial arts, so the control over his body, the discipline, and then the elegance in movement he had and showed more of when he chosed contemporary dance as speciality. ❤️Jimin

Aside from saying in the song that I can be anything you (army) want me to be for you, I believe that Jimin is also trying to tell so many army that keep saying things like he's insecure, weak, or helpless, and needs protecting, or just cute or sexy, or just any one thing, whatever army indeed wants to think he is, isn't the real him! That he wears whatever 'filter' that army wants him to be, but indeed in reality is so not him!!
That's why army are continually surprised when they see a glimmer of the real Jimin, the way more self assured, demonstrative, take charge, confident, charismatic, alluring, at times sexy, person that kills on stage! So this (pure genius) song, that the CEO 'Hit-Man Bang' (called that since way back when, as a producer, whatever he was involved in became a hit) Mr. Bang Si Hyuk, himself, was actually involved in writing the ever so genius lyrics, that Jimin had a hand in as well.
The song's lyrics have more then one meaning!! So Jimin has pretty much been doing this since the beginning, playing the role of whatever army seems to prefer for him, but in actuality, hardly anyone knows the real Jimin! So much more then what many army believe him to be. Plus since Jimin never talks much about all his amazing past achievements, abilities, and accomplishments, even before ever joining BTS, many army are still unaware of so much.

I was becoming quite annoyed at all the times I heard " *JIMIN is like* W, X, Y, Z." as if he's a poor copy instead of performing various techniques, moves and styles.
Perhaps (?) it might be OK if those others were mentioned, once, in an end summary -- that they "used to do" similar moves, but comparing all through any BTS performance seems to diminish their creativity and talent.

Jimin is an amazing dancer and performer, and Filter is by far one of the most creative choreographies that's really entertaining from beginning to end. It's also cool whether you hear it from others or not that when you see him move you see the influence and smoothness from the king of pop but also from his training as a dancer that makes him extraordinary. MJ's nephew Taj Jackson who's also a fan of BTS praised Jimin and also found a resemblance of Jimin with his uncle and I could say that didn't surprised anyone that much lol, but there's honestly no telling how much damage Jimin can do in the future with his songs and solo performances. He's only getting started, so hopefully you check out more from him and his bro's!

It’s done by Taylor Nakamoto and it still states “Draft” status, but it’s only because she’s left it open to suggestions since it’s new. Yes, Jimin is trained, he did popping/locking/ hip hop in middle school, and went to an arts high school where he was the top student in contemporary dance - and he also did a few different martial arts for many years (Taekwondo, Kendo, Hapkido) - this is maybe why he is so versatile, fluid, and powerful…He became a kpop trainee at the age of 16 and debuted with BTS at 17, so this was all as a youngster. He only had one year of training, and he had not sung before becoming a trainee - and yes, you are right, he has mentioned working really hard on improving his voice…
It’s also interesting that you mention Chris Brown - In the early BTS days, Jimin mentioned him as an influence 😂🤷♂️

Actually, he entered as the top student in his entire school because he not only had great dancing skills but top grades in other subjects (I don't know why so many poeple confuse this, but yeah). He was so good at studying, his parents wanted to send him to a science school.

Not sure if anyone else has commented this but the major costume change is a camera cut. This performance was pre-recorded for their Map Of The Soul ON:E online concert held in October 2020 during the pandemic. Jimin really wanted to do the full costume change on stage but they couldn't get it fast enough for that section of the song so they recorded to that point, then picked up again after the costume change. All of this is explained in their making of/behind the scenes video for that concert.

Edit: the part where he changes his clothes is pre recorded. At the beginning, he was going to have the red suit underneath the black one but there were so many clothes that Jimin would end up exhausted every time he rehearsed. He didn’t want that to happen on the real concert (Jimin is a perfectionist). That’s why he decided to prerecord that part. That’s why the camera angle changes like that.
And V is not the leader, he is the sub vocalist. RM is the leader and main rapper of the group. Jimin is the main dancer (alongside j-Hope) and lead vocalist

I agree about checking out the lyrics/meaning. I've seen a number of dancer's reactions to BTS vids where they don't have the captions or lyric translations so they are commenting on the choreography without knowing that specific moves are telling the story of the lyrics/song so they are completely missing out on half of the meaning.

On the other hand I was just thinking that it's wonderful that Jimin's artistry transcends the knowing of his language to appreciate what he does as a dancer and how he sounds as a vocalist! He is definitely a well rounded artist that truly and honestly moves the hearts of men, women, boys, girls from the very young to the oldest of generations!

This is such an iconic dance from Jimin, especially that uhem part.... soo smooth. You should also see the D2 version which shows his footwork, here it's mostly his upper body the camera focuses on (not complaining😉), definitely an amazing dancer. Takes your breath away, the speed he can move his limbs and his fluidity. Incredible. Won't repeat the meanings as others have already mentioned Jimin's comments on this.

Hey Lindsey :) Jimin was trained in hip hop and contemporary before Bts and he also did a lot of Martial Arts. So that's some of the different influences you see in his dancing. There is actually a different camera angle of this performance that focuses more on the whole body so you see the foot work and hand movements more. Maybe you'd be interested in watching that too to get the "full" picture :) Definitely looking forward to more choreo break downs from you!

2 dances that amazed me the most of Jimin was hes solo at the 2019 MMA awards, and the black swan solo dance he did in one of the online concerts. It blew my mind and I could feel the feelings he was expressing and dancing has never moved me like that before. Jk is my bias so I admire hes powerful dance moves, Jimin hes graceful and expressive dance and then Hobi i always felt has so much swag in his dance it feels like its part of his limbs lol💜💜💜

You should see his contemporary from Black swan (concert video), it would make your cry. Jimin majored in contemporary in high school and also had training in popping and other dance style throughout his middle school. What’s more he has few martial arts disciplines under his belt too, so incorporates everything in his dancing. As for vocals I always feel the energy flow through me when he sings
Last weekend BTS had their 1st concert in Seoul in 2 years. A month ago, Jimin had his Appendix removed. SURGERY!!!! You should have seen his high kicks during the concert. He didn't miss an Inch. My guess is he was kicking 6 ft high easily. It was amazing. The man danced like he hadn't been through surgery. I'm thinking at least 2 weeks to heal and then dancing? What? It was amazing to watch. He's such a PRO!
He had his appendix that did not burst removed, which is an extremely simple surgery (one that barely even leaves a scar) and he had no complications. Most people can be back to normal activities within a couple days. Even when Suga's appendix burst and he had an infection after his surgery, he was still back on schedule within a couple weeks. Let's not dramatize a situation.

@@dl7596 It’s just silly though. It’s idolization to an obsessive level. Anyone with this surgery would be back to normal life in the time period Jimin was. Why are you “appreciating” him for it? It’s weird and borderline spreading propaganda. By writing that this is “amazing”, when it is normal behavior, people are making his surgery out to be more than it was. And people take that with them. If they even see someone else with appendicitis, they are going to be deathly afraid because the fandom acted like Jimin was like going to die or be ill for a long period of time. Spreading strange and false information about a VERY common medical issue isn’t okay. That’s the issue. If Jimin wasn’t acting completely back to normal by now, it would be incredibly strange. Saying he’s “amazing” for it is weird.

If I want to use the word "Amazing" I will. If I want to say positive things about Jimin, I will. Nobody said he had a ruptured appendix. Google says 2 weeks: How long does it take for appendicitis to heal? "So the appendicitis recovery time is about 24 hours to 6 weeks depending on certain circumstances. You can return to normal activities in a couple of weeks."

And it may be a little distracting when you're watching the choreo, but there ARE subtitles available on most of their MVs, if you want to know what they're saying. Their lyrics are really amazing. Especially with Filter-- the costume changes go hand-in-hand with the lyrics ("Mix the colors in the palette, pick your filter / Which me do you want? / To change your world, I'm your filter / Overlay me in your heart")
You both would love his 'LIE' performance. That song of his is my fave. 💜

This video definitely shows Jimins duality , if you didn't know Jimin and saw his vlives or interviews or the run bts shows you can see is actually a bit shy, very sweet , can be a bit sassy, but but him on stage and this sexy force of nature comes out. So yeah this a great video that shows that. Also with the costume change I thought maybe it was stopped he changed then started up again but I actually saw yesterday how he does it in rehearsal and how he did struggle with the change but it was amazing how hard he works. Jimin always has struggled with confidence he is much better now but he didn't think he had a great voice and struggled early on to find that confidence he has now. Anyway thanks for the reaction it was great.

Filter is sexy but lie & serendipity choreographies are mind blowing specially lie, queen lie was such a personal song with crazy choreography but nobody can pull off like park jimin. Lie choreography has been covered by so many kpop idols & main dancers, bcuz it's that much amazing.

Bedore becoming a trainee; Jimin was a top student in Modern Dance at Busan High School of Arts. There is an interview with his old teacher that even speaks about how serious Jimin was with getting his body in shape and how she had never seen a kid his age with the muscle tone he had developed. His core strength is also unbelievable if you ever catch some of the backstage videos where he starts doing the matrix move of leaning back he can get his back almost parallel to the floor with out using his hands. He is just an amazing Dancer and his singing is just wow! He is a very high tenor.
Jimin has the highest out of all BTS, it is said he starts around an E4 and peaks around a C#5 in his chest / mixed chest range (I sometimes wonder if he could go even higher). I have also read where he sings naturally at about 5 to 6 notes higher than the average man. To put it in perspective, the average tenor I believe usually peaks around note G4 for chest.

He studied contemporary dance you even see him sometimes in the classic ballet pose. In one of their performance's of Black Swan Joonkook picks him up in the classic Ballet pose. At the same school he part of Contemporary dance was Jazz and Ballet and he was top of all his classes. He also danced hip hop so yes he's multi talented dancers and he'll put his martial arts training into some of his routines as well.

He’s such a versatile dancer but yet he’s Jimin. He utilises the various styles he’s learned plus his martial arts background to create his own style. He’s such a versatile dancer. Mj’s nephew Taj Jackson said that Jimin reminds him a lot of MJ.
Even in group dances, he always gives his own little subtle flair to it and makes it his own. He also has the most amazing angelic voice that just draws you in.

There's a lift in his live performance of Lie that amazes me. When wearing my headphones, I can hear his vocals better during live performances and he is actually singing through part of that lift. While Filter is a flirty performance, Lie is all about conflicted emotions and he nails it. It's another impressive Jimin moment that you guys might want to share.💜

jimin started his dancing journey since middle school with freestyle/streetstyle,he learned popping & locking styles, next he studied contemporary dance at art school & was one of the top students, all of these styles made him the Pro he is today ,clearly he can pull off different dance styles so smooth & perfect ,the mixture of his dancing techniques & amazing vocal range & beautiful voice made him the man he is today, unique & different, the icon indeed !

Jimin is so amazingly talented, and as BTS wants to be known as BTS and not as other talented artists, even the Beatles, I hope you get to where you don’t look for influences of MJ, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, but see it as original BTS. Because they’ve been at it over a decade and have more than earned it.
Jimin was trained in hip hop/ street dance and contemporary/ modern dance ( at 4 to 5 years combined training ) before he became a member of BTS. Jimin and Hobie are the Main dancers in BTS which are the highest ranking dance positions available in Kpop. Jimin is also the only lead vocalist in BTS which is the second highest vocal position in Kpop ( Jungkook is the main/ highest ranked in the group ).
Jimin's Filter is referring to the artist becoming what the fans want to please their appetite. He flirts with the fans idea of who they want him to be by providing a mirage of some sort for their imaginations to be satisfied pulling them deeper into many fictional characters. Filter is all about the seduction of illusion that fans ask for and the artist loves to provide. Jimin is a brilliant performer and once you Jim-in you can't ( for real, no joke ) Jim-out😜!

I'm thinking she should review his Black Swan dance break or the pre dance before the Asian award show where he is in all white. Jimin, from my understanding, training is in modern dance and ballet.

Fun fact: They totally took advantage of this being an online concert, and pre-recorded this instead of doing it live. Which means that his last outfit change was actually done off camera, and then recorded. Just a little bit of BTS illusion trick. They revealed this in the behind the scenes of the concert, because Jimin said he couldn't dance well with too many layers on. He did try hard to do it live, but decided to prerecord instead.
