NO HORSE NOT even ruffian accomplished ruffian only ran 38-43 mph secrateriat ran 49-50 MPH 🤣😂 also phar lap had it worse then ruffian 😢💔🙏🏻 so stop assuming things secrateriat is the best
She was only beaten by foolish pleasures and because she broke her sesamoid bones in her right leg so where you got the fact she was beaten is a total lie and you will need to prove your statement

I have been blessed in my lifetime to see such wonderful horses both ruffian and secretariat were great horses and back in the day when you were able to visit them in the stables the horses were very nice and the trainers were nice and also this can not be possible today because some a hole messed it up and they must protect there horses ruffian love carrots 🥕 both horses were great but Ruffian will always be my favorite to this day I never seen a horse that had a spirit or heart like she had they should basically say w When Ruffian was taken off the track in a horse ambulance, she had a compound fracture of both sesamoid bones in her right front ankle and a dislocated fetlock joint. Bones were protruding through the skin and dirt from the racetrack had gotten into the wound

Ruffian była młodsza od Secretariata o 2 lata , więc nie mogła się ścigać z Secretariatem dlaczego ? Ponieważ Big Red urodził się 1970 r. a Ruffian 1972 r . Ruffian ścigała się z Foolihempleasure . Więc nie było szansy żeby te dwa konie się ze sobą zmierzyły . Jak brzmi pytanie ? Kto by wygrał ? Ruffian czy Foolish pleasure ? Ruffian już wyprzedzała ogiera na dodatek z bolącą nogą. Dlaczego noga się złamała ? Ponieważ Ruffian za szybko wystartowała z bramki i się uderzyła jej noga nie wytrzymała .

@@Itsn0t_Lina yeah, but ruffian broke down and then shattered he elbow after Anaesthetic and was put down , she was an angel 😇 also I don’t think a match race was going to be possible after the Belmont and Preakness secratariat retired at the age of 3 then 3 more years later ruffian came along and by the time ruffian was racing,secratariat was retired and had he laminitis and it would be painful for him to run ,

It's almost impossible to compare man o war with ruffian, Seabiscuit, secretariat or zenyattah or anyone. The tracks were So different in his time, and they didn't use a starting gate.

I find this Disturbing! I lived through these 2 Champions when the were babies till their triumphs showing Ruffian breaking down tells U the author thought & was correct that Ruffian was THE HORSE of the ages & the only way to compare is 2 show mortality otherwise She is Angelic & 2 see Her run or just standing beside Her stroking Her Mane U felt a presence, indescribable, (on a personal note: Dad 4give me for speculating but She was that great!)

What about Hidalgo ? Almost a Century ago , that Horse & it's Rider won a Race to Free Horses . Before many people raise objections , do remember that those " Mix" Breed of Horses are descendants of Best Horses from Entire Europe brought by various Explorers & Armies .They survived in Wild for Century against predators . Hence we may be overlooking some aspects about them .

Is it w vs. loss or times in actual races.man o war probably had the greatest winning pct.but secratariot had faster times.now tracks may be faster,shoes might be lighter but when we talk about the fastest human ever it's Usain bolt.could he beat Jesse Owens or Bob Hayes? We'll never know will we..surfaces are faster shoes are better.i give the nod to secratariot,his times in the triple crown have stood for 45 yrs & no horse is even close .

Someone is probly going to get upset about this but this is what I think I personly think Man O War was better than secretariat and with ruffian being his niece I think she was a bit better than him and I guess it runs in their blood to be winners and seabiscuit he was a great horse he was a winner and in my eyes he may have been small but big things always come from something small. All these horses I've listed were great and that's what counts they were all great in there own times so who cares who was better they were all winners and racers who people fell in love with and that's what counts in my eyes I hope someone learns something from this because they were all great in there own times I love them all so I don't care who is better than who.

Where is Old traveling Travis at if you read this first of all all three of those horses or great racehorses This Man Called Travis called Secretariat a slouch and bums beat him no one will ever duplicate what he did at the Belmont now had Seabiscuit would have been trained right from the beginning it would be the moon and stars for that little horse ruffian I was watching the match race when she broke her leg and just as that Lake was ready to break she was starting to pull ahead now 4 real people that know all kinds of horses let's start with one that was never beat that would be the immortal Dan Patch and then there was ghost to get back to Seabiscuit for him to win that match race over a horse that won the Triple Crown that year this is really really saying something for the little guy so old traveling Travis I'm hoping you read this and I'm ready for any slack that you would throw my way son
