Painting my Massey Ferguson 35 diesel

- We paint the bottom end of my Massey Ferguson 35 Diesel Tractor back to the original Stoneleigh Grey color. Everything was stripped down, cleaned, and degreased. I chose to use a High Quality Single Stage Automotive Paint that should hold up nicely on the tractor for years to come.

Thanks I am very happy with how this part turned out. My friend is going to help me fix all the dents in the hood and he will spray it in his paint booth. I am hoping to have it painted before spring.

Nice paint job, however one should never paint rubber hoses and the tank should have been removed.
They were the old hoses and were replaced after painting the grey. I am aware that the fuel tanks were originally red but I wanted mine to be grey.
Hello from Ireland I'm doing up a mf 35 red and grey , what is the first paint you are using, is it a 2 Pak primer. Tks
The engine and frame of my 35 was done with a single stage automotive 2 part paint. I opted to not prime since there was still red oxide primer on most of the tractor. The paint I used was good up to 275 degrees F and has been holding up good so far. The body panels went through the whole treatment primers base coat and clear coat.
It's grayt. But now you can't use it. Too nice and clean.
I will use it... but since I live in the middle of suburbia it will see lots of pavement parades. I am planning on taking it to a local farm to try to do some actual farming with it at some point.
Looks good. Didn't need to take the tires off the rims then.
Does the heat of the engine affect the paint?
No problems with heat. if I remember correctly this paint was good to 275 degrees F. If my engine gets that hot paint would be the least of my problems.

Yeah this was intended to be a long term project I picked up in December but I foolishly told ppl it would be down by may so I am working every extra minute I have on bodywork straightening the front hood up getting ready for paint.
What is color paint ral code???
Not sure the RAL code. But we used Dupont code DS100. The PPG code is 35542
So if you complain about his paint job he’d shoot you lol lovely job though
no he just sprays paint in your face
