The dumbest of all dumb things is that KK actually made the decision to make a sequel trilogy without a story. Her plan to just make it up after each movie was not just dumb, it was genuinely baffling. How she kept her job after that mess is beyond me.

Not having Luke & R2, Han, Leia, and Chewy in a scene together is definitely number 1 for me. Hell, I'd have settled for just Luke, Han, and Leia. In over seven hours of film across three movies, they never share the screen together. It's baffling.
And what they did to Mark Hamill's character is just criminal. It's as if whoever wrote Luke's parts had never seen any Star Wars media and had no idea who he was. I can see him going into exile after what happens with Kylo. But once Rey finds him and asks for his help, he would be back in the fight immediately. Mark Hamill has talked about this so much. It's just awful.

Not having Han, Luke, and Leia in a single scene together was ridiculous. Yoiu haved the most iconic trio ofcharacters in cinerma history and not even oner scene.
I feel Boyega was used too. They wanted to show the "New and Diverse Star Wars" in the magazines and trailers. I feel the whole fiasco about him being a black stormtrooper was staged. They knew that a lot of fans were under the impression that all stormtroopers are clones so when a black man is the VERY FIRST shot of the first trailer was his in a stormtrooper uniform (With ZERO dialogue or explanation) there would be questions and some outrage. Maybe 1% of the fans were racist but the rest just didn't understand why there was a stormtrooper that didn't look like Boba Fett. They made no attempt to exploit it and just watched the media swell as people called fans racist and others saying doesn't matter the race, he should look like BF. They loved the free exposure. They set SW fans up to be called racist and "manbabies."

I can forgive them for that at least. There's no way Harrison Ford was coming back without them killing off Han, and having Luke show up early would diminish the impact of the final scene. You gotta remember, these movies are supposed to be about the new generation, not the OT trio.
Boyega did get robbed though. Imagine this: instead of the stupid Canto side mission, Rose is deadset on avenging her sister. Finn talks her down and Leia sees that Finn has the potential to be a Jedi. Then instead of spending the movie in a coma, she teaches Finn the ways of the Force in her own way, while Luke trains Rey in his own way. The Last Jedi ends with Luke still dead, but both Rey and Finn are ready to lead the charge as Jedi in Episode 9.

I dont see prob. with Rey fixing Falcon, hey she was taking apart and tinkering with ship parts whole life prob almost every day and Han was never technician specialist - he was more like long time "truck driver" (pilot in SW univ.) who knows his rig and can fix minor things or coax few bugs to make things go, but most real techs/ship repairmen would know much more about that stuff than him.
And force dyad could be pretty interresting concept IF they done it well(not shirtless Kylo), SW universe is huge you cant be opposed to every new thing introduced with force, plus there is plenty unique force powers in old legends, in other games - KOTOR, SWTOR - you have some very unique and COOL powers there (Battle meditation,Force bonds and more) that werent mentioned in movies at all, but i would love to see them in future. ...Agree with rest.

So at first I thought this too, but if you think about it how was Poe supposed to know how he returned? The line is really not as stupid as people make it out to be. Also Palpatine returned multiple times in the EU and everyone praises the EU yet this is stupid? Now if Leia or Luke said something like that I’d find it questionable because I’d think they’d have an idea of how, but not Poe or someone that wasn’t knowledgeable of the force. Overall I enjoy the sequels, but I admit there is stuff that should have been better and stuff they seemed to just change total direction on. The shows are really leading up to showing how Palpatine came back I feel and let’s face it all 3 trilogies have done this and it’s been left to other books, comics, shows ir movies to explain.

There's precedent. Whether it was intentional or not, Episode 9 took ideas from the 1991 comic Dark Empire where Palpatine's spirit returned in a clone body. Clones can't handle the Force very well, and Palp's dark side energy would cause his cloned bodies to age rapidly. The transfer process was...unpleasant so he'd wait until the last possible moment to transfer.

Much better than inventing a totally new story involving the First Order which wasn't well thought through at all. I think Disney just got waaay too excited and waaaay too ahead of themselves. Empire Strikes Back had a several side characters who had little screen time, and yet were very compelling.
