- After living in the suburbs of Sydney, Peter and Robyn purchased the stunning block of land in Tasmania to build their dream home for retirement. After discovering that the the land was not connected to the grid, they decided to build a self-sufficient home.

This house manifests the ideas I’ve had for the past 2 years. Hillside facing south, solar/hydro powered. Best, most efficient way to live comfortably and peacefully. Bravo!
North, they're in the southern hemisphere so houses have to face north for solar gain.

This is one if the best implemented off-grid homes I have ever seen. Earthship, tiny home or whatever.... they have found a balance and are riding that line nearly perfectly. Keep it going!

The question is, would mother Earth have enough ressources for all people to have this sort of lifestyle ? After it is built, it seems functional indeed, but what about the initial very large amount of ressources that it would require ? I do not know, just wondering

For people asking WHY DO THEY HAVE A BUNKER?
She mentioned the 1967 Tasmania bushfires, so that is why they're precautionary and they have built their "bushfire bunker" so that they still have a place to stay but can also be around to protect and save the house, if they can.
