I've never tried Milani or Essence but I love Maybelline creamy mattes Siren In Scarlet and Rich Ruby, their Red For Me shade is also a favorite. I'm like you with Milani except with Revlon's reds. I have over 10 of their reds! I'm actually wearing their Super Lustrous matte shade Show Stopper, a cool toned red with a hint of pink in my profile photo.
On my hunt for the perfect drugstore red I fell in love with so many variations of the color. ❤️💄

What is Revlon's bluest red?

@@kerryday from the ones I own the first that comes to mind is their matte in Show Stopper bc it has the bluest undertone that makes it look slightly pink but I believe it is discontinued, however from their permanent line Love That Red is a classic creme blue red and Certainly Red is slightly more neutral but still blue based. If you want the best of both worlds Fire and Ice is another classic. In the original creme formula it is equally cool and warm toned as the name suggests depending on the lighting it can look pinky or almost orangey.
Another very bright blue red is their HD matte liquid in the shade 'Love'.
