I was in undergrad, depressed, smoking cigarettes (because I was still too young to get alcohol). I was playing world of warcraft 16 hours a day, eating pizza for my one meal of the day, topping it off with starbucks. I was inadvertently skipping classes because I would sleep through my alarms. Someone recommended Naruto to me, and I pirated the videos and started watching. I remember sitting back and enjoying the series and never skipped the intro and outro music. It took me out of depression. I used the anime as a reward for doing things positively. I picked myself up and worked up to finish undergrad strong. I quit smoking, I reduced my time in WoW, I started losing weight and eating better. The anime carried me through undergrad, interim jobs, grad school, and now my current workplace where I'm making 6 figures and working pretty much the dream job I wanted when I was 11. This outro gives me comfort, reminds me of the good times and the bad, when I had nothing, when I was in the deepest darkest depression I had. This outro and "I wanna rocks" picked me up from that. It was my reminder to be positive.

Truly a timeless anime. This ending song is really my favorite to hear and this show opened the door for me with anime. I watched this along with tri gun and hunter x hunter. Really nostalgic almost 30 now with kids of my own, hope they get to find love in their favorite shows like I found mine

Unlike most people here, I don't have any nostalgia for this. I never watched Naruto as a kid, and I first started the show about 11 months ago during February of 2022. Nevertheless, this song makes me cry. It's incredible how much this ending displays pure and utter loneliness.
Same, never watched Naruto in all of the decade I've known about it, watching it right now for about 5 days now and I'm kicking myself for not having watched it sooner. This kind of anime was supposed to be enjoyed in my younger days, when I didn't have as many responsibilities and could let wonder work its magic on my mind. I'm a decade too late now, but it's still better than never. After all these years, I finally understand the hype around this series. This show truly is a classic, deserving of the Big Three's label.

Same here. Started the show in November 2021, and finished it in late January 2022. I think the reason that this ending is so emotional for me is because Naruto is a lot like I was when I was a kid. I think that's why I loved the show so much in general - I had a pretty traumatic childhood, and watching this loud little kid clad in orange goof around with his ninja buddies made me feel like I was experiencing the childhood that got taken away from me. That said, this ending feels special. I think it's the composition of it, and the singer's voice, as well as the butterfly imagery.

The thing about this video is, looking back at it 20 years later, that most of us grew up simultaneously to Naruto and for this reminds me of my easier childhood and adolesence days. Not having a care in the world. Truely heartwarming and heartbreaking at the sime time.

It's crazy how Naruto was a much more grounded series until it got full Shonen. The first intro and outtro felt mature, realistic atmosphere, Sakura actually doing something, it was 2000s anime. It was one of the best times man.

All well written girls in this anime are also girls that aren't interested in sasuke, like: Chiyo, temari, konan, tsunade. Kishi is the original sasuke fangirl.

This anime will forever be in my heart. I feel that naruto was the most purest, realest and most beautiful mc ive ever seen. I always feel funny talking like this about a fictional character but the funny part is that naruto has taught me more and given me more knowledge than anyone in the real world. his passion and persistence to never give up i feel is one of the things i’ve learned the most from him. Seeing him believing in himself and always staying true to himself is something that a lot of people lack. I strive to have his mentality and persistence, to grow up in a way that I will also stay true to myself. its not just that but the comfort that this show has given to me is unreal, its truly amazing how a show can have this much of an effect on a person. anyways im actually writing this on Naruto’s birthday so happy birthday Naruto ! 🧡

There's some funky fun make you move kind of songs but nothing like this that makes you all emotional knowing that the good times are always going to come to a happy end. Literally tearing up....I think when I was younger..both me and my siblings are always fond of singing every song used on Naruto.
I think there was a time we kept growing up and we suddenly kept forgetting some songs. I remember reminding my siblings there was one ending song of Naruto we like. They couldn't remember so do I.
