The LaBiancas we're coming back from what I believe was a weekend trip with their boat. They stopped at a gas station and bought a newspaper and were discussing the Tate murders of several days before with the clerk. Terrifying and sad to think that a few hours later they themselves would be victims of the same.

He got to live and so did the others while Sharon Tate and her baby and all the others have been in the ground for over 50 years. An immeasurable injustice. This happened before I was born but every summer, they seem to air a doc on the Manson murders and the LaBianca's get very little coverage. I think it's sad, they were brutally murdered in their home by those psychopaths and they get forgotten about . It's horrible what happened to all of the victims but I always felt no one really paid any attention to Rosemary and Leno , they lived a quieter life and weren't famous so they get a little blerb and that's it. He had the nerve to name his Tate house studio "Le Pig," after the word "Pig" which had been scrawled on the front door in Sharon's blood by one of her killers. "Are you exploiting my sister's death by living in her house?" Patti demanded. Though Reznor initially denied it, he later admitted that right there, Patti deflated his rationalizations and made him think. Good for her, for bringing about a change of heart in Trent Reznor.

My late Mom when she came to visit, had no interest. The convent next door is prime real estate and Katy Perry tried to buy it 5-7 yrs ago, there was a dispute over who owned it and the sale didn't go through. My uncle was born in 1951, when he was 17 in 1968, he hitchhiked from San Diego to LA. He was about 6’3 and 200 pounds of pure muscle at that age too. He ended up at “SPAHN RANCH” and had no idea of the shady inhabitants. He had hitchhiked there with his guitar and he told me that in order to “stay a few days”, “Charlie” wanted his guitar. He said he saw all the freaks, Tex, Squeaky, Linda, all of them. Then he said Manson took his guitar. He said Manson was a little coward, small, weak, but the whole place was covered with guns. You couldn’t do much about it without getting shot. He ended up getting his guitar back from Manson and left after a few days. Then about a year later, he saw that Manson had committed the murders.
During the early ‘70s, my uncle would go on to be a pretty tough dude. He was a Hell’s Angel during those years until he got into a pretty horrific motorcycle crash and got out of it. He could have beaten Charles Manson to death at 17, I promise you that. My Uncle is also extremely intelligent, smarter than Manson.
So it was Manson’s control of young, drug addicted, down and out, highly impressionable teenagers that gave him his power. He spun stories of magnificent bullshit and those kids ate it up.
It’s a cautionary tale for sure.
    Great video.

Manson saw that kids were eager to follow "gurus" in that time, his ego latched onto getting some followers for himself that he could manipulate.

      @@treetopjones737 Yup.
Very true about the “gurus” of that time.
My uncle said he really was a little weasel but also like he said, he controlled all of his followers with terrific tales of bullshit and drugs.
Manson was no dummy but he’s hardly the genius he made himself out to be. Good con man for sure. Intelligent, yes. Genius, no.

I know this is an older post from a few months ago, but I was 11 years old in the year 1969. At that time my parents would take one month of each summer to go camping, and I can tell you the hippy movement was alive and well for sure. Not only that but I saw for myself at least a few instances of one guy camping with several young women, who all seemed to idolize him. Very much like the Manson girls. And in each case the guy had long hair and at least some facial hair as well. It just seemed to be a common theme during that time.

I still hate all the Mansons. I was 14 when the murders happened and being a Hollywood freak even at that age who used to live in Southern California, I was enamored of the case from the very beginning. I started a scrapbook from the day after the murders till the end of the trial that I wish I still had but I tossed it years ago. I never had any confusion about who the villains were, that may sound strange but Manson quickly became a cult figure who was admired by many, unbelievably. I've seen pretty much everything Manson but stopped watching it quite some time ago because it's just too depressing, but I like your output so wanted to see this. So tragic that Sharon Tate and the others, including her baby, have been in their graves for over 50 years while most of the culprits still breathe. They should have been Zapped.⚡⚡⚡

I wish I could travel back in time & cross paths with these people in a safe way, maybe as a fly on the wall lol already knowing what I know now. Just to witness how they acted, the things they did on that farm, the way they spoke to each other & did things would have been crazy to witness. I’m just so curious how these women acted around Manson & how they all were back then.
I kinda just wanna witness the 60’s period Lol

Leno LaBianca was previously married to a different woman, so maybe it's her tomb next to his? A lot of couples buy plots together when they're married, but sometimes forget to or don't bother to rearrange their funeral arrangements after getting divorced.

    • @ghostcityshelton9378

It may have been Manson say "hi' from .....below. 😨
That might be where matinance is done and could have been workers or maybe sprites, it's possible.
I never feel alone in a cemetery. Only once I felt uneasy and looking behind some tombstones there were beheaded chickens so weird stuff was done there.
In the children's section I got a very faint EVP warning of; " No drink Rucker food place water."
I was visiting a fellow soldier at Fort Rucker, Al. at the time and we were going to eat at the mess hall after leaving the cemetery. I refused to eat at the mess hall and we ate at MacDonald's.
STRANGE BUT TRUE. Someone had put dead birds in the water tank and many soldiers got really sick I don't remember if some died.
We went back and thanked the little children's sprites and left them some toys. This was 1974 - 75 ish or so, not sure.

I live on the east coast in Maryland. This story was pushed so hard by the media, people here began to lock their doors at night and kept guns very close. Most of the people I lived around were farmers, bluecollar workers or watermen. They never cared for hippies much anyway, but after this they dispised them, and anyone who did drugs.....
