  • Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister, Minister for National Security and the Civil Service, and Minister for Finance, Economic Affairs and Investment of Barbados, addresses the general debate of the 76th Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (New York, 21-27 September 2021).
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) is the main policy-making organ of the Organization. Comprising all Member States, it provides a unique forum for multilateral discussion of the full spectrum of international issues covered by the Charter of the United Nations. Each of the 193 Member States of the United Nations has an equal vote.
The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter.
The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world.
But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

This is a good plan, if we can first trust the African Union to truly represent Africa United. So far, we do not see strong solidarity in areas of great need, Ethiopia, Mali.. and the Diaspora, like Haiti for example. It is encouraging that they realized the error of allowing apartheid Israel to have observer status. Having suspended that was a correct move, as it should not have happened. So, we are paying close attention to their other decisions during these urgent times, for African development to be supported courageously, and fully.

I can't disclose too much, but I've been using a coach called Mr Wayne ' 'and through his guidance, I've been able to make approx. $24,000 in dividends on a monthly basis, it is pretty straightforward, not as complicated as it used to be

We need more leaders like her and Jacinda Ardern.

This Great Womans voice matters, so glad I was able to see this, such a shame that many leaders were only prepared to come and talk, but fail to have the decentcy stay and listen to the Leaders from developing nations who clearly have important knowledge and concerns to share. God our nation, may humanity rise up in love for all.

Thank you President Mottley for your courage to deliver such a powerful speech. Those who want to cling to the past will never accept that the world is changing. Those who were privileged and comfortable in the current unequal situation in the world will continue to drag their heels to any suggestion to change but change must happen. There is no winners and losers here or else every one looses. Go bless and continue your strong leadership and be an example to other leaders who haven't got the courage and confidence to speak out like you do.
